“Love this Historic Hotel. I would sugest a 1920 theme staff and all. Have a 1920's themed dances, dining, & evens. Even if it's just for one week. Would be a lot of fun. Cool winter month would be best. Yes we saw a ghost shadow walk by our door and there was construction down the hall then we were startled by banging on our door no one was there..... Nice comfy bed & cold room. Nice escape from the summer heat. Stay here you will LOVE IT!”

The pool was closed for one full day due to emergency repairs needed to patch the cement around the hot tub. When I expressed my disappointment over no access to the pool I was told I would be comped $50 through Expedia which is the third party where I booked the hotel. “The front staff was always helpful and friendly. We had a suite room for our family of 5. The room had plenty of space and was comfortable. The location is perfect. You can walk to grocery, CVS and restaurants and is barely 10 minutes to Mickler's beach.”

“Loved it here. Everything was great until it wasn’t. I don’t know what happened but sometime after 3am our room got extremely warm. Luckily we brought our own fan that made it possible to sleep for couple hours. Had to wake up by 6:30 and realized the room ac was set to 65 but temp in room was 80. Had to check out as early as 8:30 am because it was too hot to stay any longer. Felt better just being the the hallway of the floor than our room. I really love this hotel and everything about it, but...

“There was no air conditioning on the first floor with industrial fans blowing hot air around the corridors. I give the front staff kudos for working under those conditions. There was air conditioning on the upper floors but you could feel the heat rising up the elevator shafts. My room had a king bed with sheets the did not look altogether clean on one side so I kept to the other side. The room was large but looked weird with furniture only taking up 1/3 of the room. The other side held a floor...

“The only negative comment I have is that there is no overhang at the entrance. It started raining right when I checked in so we were unable to unload our luggage until the rain stopped later that evening. Also our shower gel wasn't filled so there was only enough gel for my daughter. I ended up using shampoo to wash my body. ”

“The first room we were assigned was not in the main building and had a very strong, unpleasant odor. Even after moving to the main building, the property felt so dated that we could clearly hear the sewer and plumbing sounds from the upstairs bathroom. Given the high nightly rates, the value just isn’t there—especially since the resort has no official partnership or special access relationship with the TPC Sawgrass golf course.”
