Nice resort style condo at The Shores 2BD/1.5 bath

Welcome to lake life! I have been coming to The Shores since I was a kid, and I loved it so much that I now bought a condo with my family to enjoy as well as to share the love of beautiful Lake Erie with you.
The condo includes 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a sleeper sofa, and sleeps 6 comfortably. There is a fully equipped kitchen as well. Relax on one of 3 private balconies in your condo or venture down to the pool, hot tub and private beach. Charcoal grills and outdoor gas fire pits make for a lovely evening dinner. We are walking distance to an amazing public playground, the Port Clinton Lighthouse, a large public beach and a short drive to the Miller Ferry, Jet Express, the downtown area of Port Clinton and Cedar Point.

Cute condo and grounds

Condo was relatively clean and very well stocked. Could use some updating and fresh paint. It is up 3 short flights of stairs so a little tiring if you have a lot of luggage. Couches and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room to relax! Beach area is small but there was never anyone else using it while we were there.

Quiet Stay

Nice quiet place to stay. We enjoyed the hot tub. We found the pool too cold. This was due to all the cool days previously. The condominiums were near the city park which we liked. The beds were comfortable. Did not like bunk beds in the one room. At our age even with stairs to climb up. My youngest sister found them at a disadvantage. We liked the fully supplied kitchen.

Great for a family

This condo was the best stocked condo we have ever stayed at. The owners thought of everything making it feel more homey. The carpet needs a deep cleaning or needs to be replaced. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable condo in a convenient location with great amenities.

Perfect location

We planned a trip to include cedar point, put in bay and the African safari but with the potential for some rough weather we were able to spend a day at great wolf lodge on a day pass instead of the island. This spot was perfectly located for a TON of great experiences for the whole family. The on site pool and private beach areas were amazing as well.

Great family vacation!

The Shores was an amazing property to stay at. So close everything. The private beach was on the smaller side but still perfect with larger public beaches very close by. The pool and hot tub were a HUGE hit. You can tell that the board members care deeply about the property. The condo itself was very spacious and fit our family of 4 with room to spare. The decor and fixtures were dated but the kids loved the queen bunk beds! The only bummer was that the carpets looked very dirty and just made everything else feel not a clean as it was. We appreciated the property manager Nick for being so flexible and accommodating!

Great place

The condo was just as advertised. Clean well appointed. Bedrooms were nice. Kitchen was great. It was nice that so many condiments and spices were left. Complex was wonderful. Pool and hot tub were perfect. The beach area although small was really nice. Tennis court was a nice bonus. Close to everything you want to do. We’d definitely come back

Great place!

The condo was clean and comfortable. My kids really enjoyed the pool and beach. The grounds were well taken care of. I would note that the condo is on the second floor of the building with no elevator so it might be difficult for older adults.

The overall experience was nice and we all enjoyed the amenities as well as the home feel it gave us during our short stay. I would definitely do it all over again for sure it was a time to remember and the feeling of staying where we did because of Nick felt like coming home at night so Thank You once again Nick.

The Shores

My husband, sons, and I stayed a week in this condo at The Shores. The condo is close to a lot of activities. We were able to rent jet skis from a place only 10 minutes away and visit Cedar Point which was ~25 minutes away, plus there were good restaurants and shopping close - some walking distance. The condo could use some updating as the carpet in the living room area was heavily stained and the sliding doors to the balconies were very difficult to open and close. I was disappointed also with the cleanliness of the bath tub as you could tell it had not been scrubbed prior to our visit and the curtain could have used a wash/change. I also feel the promotion of the property could have been handled more honestly. The picture in the posting of the private beach is not current and does not give an accurate representation of the beach available. The beach is very small, there is maybe 5 feet of space from the start of the beach to the water. We booked this trip for the beach so this was a bit disappointing. There is a dock area with lounge chairs available to sit/lay out and there is enough beach for the kids to play with sand toys but it is not a beach you can set up on for the day. The pool and hot tub is nice but does get crowded during the day especially as the weekend neared and more people came for long weekend trips. Additionally, the posting made note to having access to propane grills which you do not -charcoal only. Last, we arrived about an hour early due to a miscalculation on our side and our kids only needing one stop on the trip. I reached out to the property owner to see if we could get in a little early and was told we couldn’t because “the cleaning people were still there”. We were there, no one was at the condo. We felt if he wanted to stick to the check-in time, he could have just told us that.

Ideal for family vacation

We had a great stay. The unit is very well stocked and feels like a home. The location is close to everything, jet express to put in bay, 30 minutes to cedar point, restaurants and ice cream within walking distance. The grounds are nice and the pool and hot tub were a hit with our 7,9 and 11 year old!
