Escape to our charming 3-bedroom vacation home in the heart of Port Clinton, just a 14-minute walk from the serene shores of Lake Erie. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of Sandusky Bay, a mere stone's throw away, and stroll to the lively Fisherman's Wharf in just 15 minutes.

As a guest, you'll enjoy a wealth of amenities to make your stay truly comfortable. Indulge in the convenience of free WiFi, a washing machine and dryer, and smart TVs in each room for your entertainment. The fully stocked kitchen is a chef's delight, equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, microwave, dishwasher and all the necessary appliances and utensils to whip up delectable meals. Wonderfully decorated cottage with everything provided. Our family of 4 dog, stayed 5 nights and didn't want to leave. Enjoyed the comfy beds and our 2 teenage boys loved the basement with games, tv, and lounging around. The keyless front door entry was nice. We only went out for dinner 1x, to Jolly Rogers Seafood right by Lake Erie. Yummy. We cooked at the cottage the rest of the time, where everything was provided in the kitchen as well. It took us 5 min. max to drive to the nice park, and beach and during the week, we took a ferry ride to Put-in-Bay on the Jet Express, with the dock being equally close to the cottage. We recommend taking the Train Tour on the island. Our last evening in Port Clinton, we went to Scooters Ice Cream around the corner, where it's outdoor seating only, so we brought the dog. Only issues at the cottage were the trash bins outside were full, (but that was out of Cheryl's control) and it got hot and stuffy inside from the weather when we arrived. I did see on the VRBO description, it stated AC, so I assumed it was central air. It was only mobile AC units, so my husband (by suggestion and permission from Cheryl) was able to set them up. (we needed for health reasons) Once everything was cooled down later that evening, we were able to open up the doors to get a cross breeze going, and having the ceiling fans in each room was helpful and sufficient. All-in-all, we had a relaxing visit, and definitely would recommend visiting Cheryl's Cottage.

Great Place to Stay!

Everything was clean and tidy, the house is just as described in the listing, and Cheryl was VERY helpful with getting the whole thing set up!I definitely recommend staying here!

Great getaway!

Property was very clean and comfortable. Great amenities and location. Close to Cedar Point and Put-in bay ferries. We had a great time celebrating some fall birthdays. Host was awesome and check in was easy. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect for the weekend!

Enjoyed the weekend with some friends. Property was in a cute, safe location. Really enjoyed the patio area out back of the house. The host was very quick to respond and very nice. I would recommend to anyone. The quality of stay for the price is accurate and our group of 6 was very pleased.

Cheryl was great to work with. This house was very clean and well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked. Beds were comfortable. My only complaints were there is no front door outside lighting and it was very dark at night and it made it difficult to navigate steps and open door, could be a fall waiting to happen. The other thing is the air conditioning is window units and free standing units. The unit in the living room is a free standing and was so loud, it was deafening ( and quite irritating). Window units as well not quite. I would give this a 5 star if it wasn't for these things.

Weekend get away

A friend and I went for the weekend. We spent many hours in the comfortable living room catching up. We were able to walk from our VRBO to the jet express to take us to PutInBay since it was less than a mile away. The house was decorated very nicely and the beds were comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to take a day trip to Put in Bay.

Family getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this house. Everything we needed was provided and Cheryl was a great host and communicated well. Location is great, within a few minutes to mostly everything Port Clinton has to offer. Only downfall was air conditioning was loud and wasn’t able to quite keep up with the heat of summer during the day, which we were mostly gone. Nights and mornings was comfortable.

Clean, quaint, and comfy.

Our family of four, plus our 13 pound mini poodle… enjoyed a peaceful weekend in this cozy clean house. We loved the flowing beach theme that carried through the entire house. We will definitely be booking this house again in the future, when we want to get away for another relaxing weekend.

Exceeded expectations

When we made the reservation this host did not have many reviews yet as she was new to Vrbo. We took the chance and are glad we did. We have done Vrbo for 4 years and never had a problem but this was the best. You really felt welcome as soon as you entered the house. Bedrooms and kitchen were big. Living area was more than fine. Quiet neighborhood that is walking distance from the beach. 1 bathroom but we knew that going in and had no issues. Overall an A+ stay so if concerned she doesn't have a big number by her name yet due to being new, do not worry!!!

A Shelter in the Time of a Storm

My group of 4 fishermen came to Port Clinton and I chose Cheryl’s place as our headquarters from the VRBO app. Her cottage is very impressive. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is perfect. Plenty of space to relax, eat and play games. That is all we could do because the weather kept us from going on the lake. I will stay in this place again. It’s perfect
