Zeemon Cottage – Boater’s Retreat by Lake Erie

Welcome to Zeemon Cottage, a cozy Lake Erie retreat designed for anglers, boaters, and families. This charming cottage offers two queen bedrooms downstairs, a spacious sleeping loft with four beds, and two baths (one full, one half). Enjoy outdoor seating with glimpses of the lake, a grill, and a convenient fish-cleaning station. Located near local marinas, Jet Express ferry service, Lakeview Park Beach, and downtown Port Clinton—about 30 minutes from Cedar Point.

Step into Zeemon Cottage, a classic Port Clinton getaway that blends vintage character with modern comfort—perfect for a relaxing Lake Erie stay. The open-concept living area features seating for six, a Smart TV for streaming, and a well-equipped kitchen with full-size appliances, a Keurig and drip coffee pot, toaster, and in-kitchen washer/dryer. The enclosed front porch provides extra seating and plenty of natural light—ideal for your morning coffee or evening chats.

Downstairs, you’ll find two cozy bedrooms with queen beds and blackout curtains, plus a bright, modern walk-in shower. Upstairs, the sleeping loft includes two double beds and two singles, offering flexible space for families or fishing groups. Please note: the loft is accessed through the full bathroom, the stairs are narrow and steep, and the half bath upstairs is open concept with no door.

Outside, enjoy the covered back deck with a dining table for four, additional seating, and a grill (propane may need to be refilled by guests). A fish-cleaning station with hose and sink is available for your daily catch—please dispose of fish waste at a nearby marina.

Please note:
This is an older cottage with plenty of charm and a few quirks. The stairs to the loft are steep and narrow with limited headroom, and the loft is reached through the full bathroom downstairs. The half bath upstairs is open concept with no door.
Because of the cottage’s proximity to Lake Erie, seasonal bugs like mayflies or gnats may appear during warmer months and are harmless to humans.

Other things to note: We only provide a starter pack of toiletries, paper towels, and trash bags. Typically enough for an average-sized family lasts 3-4 days. If you run out, please supply your own as needed.

We provide a propane grill for guests to use. However, we do not manage/refill the propane tanks. If you happen to run out of gas, we ask that you exchange the tank at one of the local stores.
