Castello svedese a PT

Una casa su misura a tre piani unica a soli sei miglia dal centro di Port Townsend. Questa casa si trova su cinque acri alla fine di una strada privata. I giardini sono abbelliti con un grande campo aperto, due pozzi di fuoco, uno con una griglia a cottura lenta per cucinare all'aperto. C'è una zona umida sulla proprietà con anatre, aironi e una varietà di avifauna. Vi è una grande camera da letto privata al primo piano con un letto king size, TV di medie dimensioni e mezzo bagno. Con una vasca idromassaggio appena fuori dalla porta sul retro. Il secondo piano ha un soggiorno / sala da pranzo, cucina, camera da letto con una sala TV con una TV molto grande e un bagno completo. Ci sono due ponti al secondo piano. Uno si affaccia sul cortile sud con un tavolino e sedie, un ombrellone e un barbecue pulito. Il secondo ponte si affaccia sulle zone umide. Dal secondo piano c'è una grande scala (molto facile da salire) ad un grande soppalco al terzo piano. Il loft ha una biblioteca e un'area perfetta per i giochi al coperto per bambini. C'è un materasso matrimoniale per ospiti a sfioro o bambini e spazio per uno o due materassi gonfiabili. (Come con la maggior parte degli spazi loft, il suono del terzo piano può essere ascoltato al piano inferiore. Quindi questo non è per qualcuno che ha bisogno di privacy.) La cucina ha una gamma Viking, una lavastoviglie Bosch ed è completamente fornita di tutto ciò che un cuoco vorrebbe o avrebbe bisogno. Il frigorifero è piccolo, sotto le dimensioni del bancone, e c'è un frigorifero / congelatore full size nel posto auto coperto al primo piano.

Ci sono polli e uova fresche nel cortile e una bella strada tranquilla per lunghe passeggiate o una passeggiata mattutina con il caffè. I vicini sono molto amichevoli e la strada è molto riservata. Siamo a 12 minuti di auto dal centro di Port Townsend, dove è possibile fare shopping, osservare le balene, gustare un delizioso pasto, bere un vino o passeggiare per ammirare il panorama. Fort Worden e Finnriver Cidery sono a pochi minuti di distanza.

Wonderful!

Out stay was just great. Jack was an amazing host. A wonderful house in a quiet, wooded area. It was just as described and perfect for our group of one parent, two kids and two grandparents. We hope to come stay again in the future!

Best family weekend ever

I came with two adult children and two older teens. We were warmly greeted and welcomed to the property upon our arrival. The house was so inviting and homey feeling. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking family meals including spices and dry goods including coffees and teas, Jack provided us with bread, eggs, butter and half-n-half for our arrival which was a kind gesture that we appreciated. Beds and linens were extremely comfortable. Communication before, during (if needed) and after the stay was great. We intend to come back for future family weekends!! Thank you Jack!!

Cozy home, beautiful location, & helpful host

We loved our stay here. Jack was so welcoming and helpful during our stay. The home is spacious with comfortable future and a fully equipped kitchen. The gas fireplaces, bonfire, and hot tub kept us warm during the cold days. It’s located a short drive from Port Townsend if you want to go into town, but there’s enough to do in the home/property to keep you busy.

Super Kind Host

Jack is so kind and thoughtful. He kept in constant contact with us as we prepared for our trip to his house, allowed us to arrive at 2 am, and had coffee, bread, and eggs ready for our arrival. During our stay, we enjoyed a very quiet and peaceful area. Jack is a very friendly and attentive host.

Beautiful home is a beautiful, secluded location

Jack was a wonderful host, and this property is really neat! A very wooded and quiet setting with a unique home and floorplan that we thought was awesome. Very comfortable, and what host drops off some starters just before you arrive?? We had local coffee, sourdough bread, eggs, cream for coffee... We have relatives in the area and will definitely be back to stay with Jack!

Peaceful retreat in Port Townsend

Jack, our host, couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. It’s a uniquely designed home—beautifully decorated, well-appointed kitchen, and the beds were very comfortable. The surrounding area is peaceful, and the property is beautifully landscaped. We will definitely return!

We all throughly enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet and peaceful. Jacks house was so well stocked, you will want for nothing. Bread, eggs and butter, cream and coffee all waiting for us. Jack is a truly wonderful host, a lovely man.

Great family hideaway

Jack was so friendly and helpful; we enjoying talking with him as he showed us around the house and property. He was easy to get ahold of during our stay too, as he was responsive via text and is right next door in a smaller cabin. The house felt very remote, down a long gravel road, but was still a short drive into town and was also a nice base for a little bit of Olympic NP exploring. Our kids were obsessed with the loft and all the fun toys and books up there. And I was obsessed with the great stove, cookware, and all the kitchen basics - better stocked than most rentals I have stayed in. The whole house was nicer in person than it looks in pictures. If we visit Port Townsend again I would search for this place specifically!

Perfect Forest Getaway

My family just spent the weekend in this beautiful forest hideaway just outside of Port Townsend. We were in town for my sister's wedding and it was the ideal spot to get ready for, and relax after, all of the weekend activities. The house, the setting, and of course our host Jack, all made the weekend perfect. I will definitely look to stay here the next time I am in Port Townsend.

Fantastic spot in the woods

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in Port Townsend and thoroughly enjoyed Jack (the host) and the cozy remote home in the woods. Very clean and very cozy. We will be staying here again.

Easy Weekend

This was the perfect choice for a quick getaway with friends. Kids slept up in the "attic" area, and there were still 2 separate bedrooms and a TV room with a couch. The living area was perfect for playing our favorite card game, and the kitchen has high quality appliances (we like to cook some on vacay) and all the tools you could need-including a French coffee press. The only "odd" part was the glass door to the only shower bathroom, a little awkward with more than 1 family, but we figured out you could close the whole back area off with the barn doors. Thanks for a great stay!

Home away from home

Wonderful setting, wonderful house, wonderful host. We were in town for a 3 day family wedding and throughly enjoyed having this home as our home base between our weekend events. My only regret was I didn't have more time to explore the beautiful grounds. Jack was a fantastic host, I would hesitate to stay here in the future.

Wonderful home in idyllic setting

My family and I stayed here and really enjoyed the home and the incredible setting nestled among the trees. The home was immaculate and Jack was so helpful and thoughtful. We loved having filtered water and the delicious treats (excellent coffee, farm fresh eggs, local sourdough bread) that jack left for us.
