Vista espetacular

Excelente localização, apartamento bem equipado, mas a necessitar de alguns arranjos,nomeadamente janelas , sofas e iluminação (muitas lâmpadas não funcionavam). A cozinha tem pouca luz A única coisa que correu menos bem foi o check-in, que ocorreu mais tarde devida à limpeza ainda estava a ser efetuada, cerca de 2 horas depois

Check in was painful.... but location was perfect

I was told to contact someone who couldn't speak English so I was talking to this person's adult daughter so I could understand when she would meet us etc. We finally got in the place after much frustration. The apartment seems old and oddly designed. Mattresses are very VERY firm / hard. No hand soap or dish soap for the kitchen, we had to get a 2nd key cut as their were 2 couples (their are 3 bedrooms) and we had to buy toilet paper because there wasn't enough. Poorly managed property (I had to message the owner after all my frustration to get the entry code to the front door of the building), not very proactive BUT... the location and view were perfect. Air conditioners were very quiet. Would I stay there again? No.

Blinded by the view

The view from this apartment was fantastic and there are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. Beach was an easy walk. However, apartment was in need of an update and care. Faded and cheap furniture, cheap dark paneling all over, no place to put soap down in the cramped shower, no small towel racks in bathrooms, washing machine almost vibrated out of the closet and kitchen light didn't work. The building had trash all over the parking area, the glass was broken on the entrance door and it needed a fresh coat of paint. For the price, I expected better. That being said, the view was the best feature.

Missed the warning signs in the pictures. Got blinded by the view.

The views and location are the only reason to stay here. Everything except for the outdoor table and chairs were old and beat up. This place must have been built in the 60's or 70's and nothing has been updated. There is low quality dark wood paneling everywhere that makes it depressing to stay at as beach condo. It looked more like a cheap lounge bar. Look at the pictures carefully and don’t expect anything better than what you see. The bedroom with the tiny "queen" bed was behind a hidden door that was part of the living room wall cabinet, like it was a secret room. The door did not have a handle and there was a large gap at the bottom of the door. You had no sound privacy. The mattress in this and all the other beds were rock hard. The bedroom dressers were old beat up wood. Door handles on doors and furniture were missing or broken. The living room furniture was old and uncomfortable. The TV was on top of a small coffee table, so you had to look down to watch it. There was a ripped painting above the TV. Indoor dining consisted of a table and 4 uncomfortable plastic chairs. All the appliances in the kitchen were hidden behind dark brown paneling. That is reason you don’t see kitchen appliances in the pictures! The refrigerator and freezer were not keeping anything cold. The manager sent a handyman to look at it. He said it wasn't working because we set the cooling to max. In my experience, when you set a refrigerator to max it freezes whatever you have in there, not keep the food slightly below room temperature. Luckily, we discovered on our own that the panel door it was behind needed to be left open so it could dissipate heat for it to work properly. The dishes along with the cooking and eating utensils were all mismatched. The frying pans were old with loose handles. There was one glass wine glass plus 2 or 3 mismatched plastic wine glasses. I could go on and on. Bottom line, the owner of this place has not spent any money trying to keep it up. They have added things to provide the minimum necessities to make it habitable for renters but nothing more. I do want to say that the lady who managed the place was very nice and did the best she could with what she had. This place gets sold out for the views and location, but it is not a comfortable place. I regret not seeing the warning signs in the pictures. I got blinded by the view. My family and I will not be coming back.

Beautiful place and perfect location

My friends and I stayed here for 5 days and LOVED IT! Location was perfect, beachfront, right on the strip of local shops, grocery store, and several restaurants. Only a 10 min walk to Praia da rocha events. Our favourite part of this place was definitely the balcony area with the open concept with the most beautiful beachfront view, we enjoyed eating breakfast there every morning. We had a bit of trouble checking in but the Host definitely made up for it by giving us a mini tour of the place during check in, being very accommodating during check out as well as having such a beautiful apartment :)

Amazing view

The apartment was bigger then I thought and the view over the ocean is just breathtaking. The communication with our host was always easy and she was very kindly and very obliging. We really had an amazing time here. Thanks a lot.

Wonderful spot!

An excellent stay in Praia da Rocha - great location, walk to everything. Nice restaurants just outside your door. Outstanding beach views - sunset and sunrise! Easy access to the beaches. Excellent correspondence with the owner! Thank you Maria and her local host Rute.

der Ausblick ist sensationell

Die Einrichtung ist zwar nicht die aller modernste, aber ist insgesamt stimmig und in gutem Zustand. Wir waren sehr zu frieden und hatten einen echt tollen Urlaub! wir würden die Wohnung wieder buchen

Location is everything

The location is perfect. It’s a walk away from beaches, restaurants, shops. The view from the living and dining rooms is spectacular. It is very quiet at night. The appartment was clean and had almost everything but whatever we needed was just a quick walk from the market. We will definitely keep that place in mind for a future trip and would recommend it to friends.

Il y avait quand même encore pas mal de poussière au sol. Sinon l'ensemble était propre.

On a beaucoup aimé notre séjour. L'appartement était bien équipé. L'endroit était très agréable et en plus il a fait très beau. Que demander de plus. Le prix était un peu élevé. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons été très satisfait et si l'occasion se présente à nouveau, on renouvellera l'expérience.
