Casa meravigliosa, piscina privata e 10 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia

Questa è una dependance che è stata convertita in una casa di 4 camere da letto con piscina privata e patio arredato per mangiare all'aperto cucinato nel barbecue costruito. Si trova in una posizione tranquilla, a soli 3 minuti a piedi dal centro di Alvôr con supermercati e servizi. Arredate con gusto, tutte le camere sono moderne e 3 di esse sono dotate di doccia suite e dispongono di aria condizionata, con accesso diretto alla terrazza della piscina (2 camere doppie e una camera matrimoniale - una camera doppia ha un accesso diretto indipendente dalla terrazza della piscina). la camera doppia extra è una cameretta speciale per bambini con aria condizionata.
Alvor ha numerosi buoni ristoranti a prezzi accettabili. È un delizioso villaggio di pescatori che recentemente è diventato un luogo popolare per le vacanze. Offre ottimo cibo, persone felici e grandi spiagge. Le spiagge sono fantastiche con rocce, sabbia incantevole e onde uniche. È mezz'ora a piedi dai campi da golf più vicini.


The Village: è di per sé un labirinto di strade acciottolate e piazzette ombreggiate con molti deliziosi bar e caffetterie. La chiesa parrocchiale originariamente del XVI secolo fu ricostruita dopo il terremoto del 1755 e ha ancora un buon esempio nella sua porta principale dell'artigianato dell'era manuelina dell'architettura. Il piccolo villaggio di Abidaca, situato su un pendio ad est di Alvor, ha tracce di un insediamento romano. Ci sono alcuni ex espatriati britannici qui, ma questo non sembra avere effetti sul villaggio.
Il cibo
I ristoranti qui sono eccellenti; la qualità del cibo è nettamente superiore in qualsiasi altra parte dell'Algarve. Assicurati di assaggiare il pesce fresco, in particolare le sarde. Abbiamo mangiato in un ristorante diverso ogni sera e non siamo rimasti delusi una volta, il tempo è il cibo, il servizio impeccabile o solo l'arredamento e il ristorante stesso, non riesco a pensare a una cosa su cui lamentarmi. Sfortunatamente la nostra visita qui è tornata nei giorni precedenti alla mia partenza

Il villaggio di pescatori di Alvor si trova sull'estuario del fiume, Rio Alvor. È ben noto nella storia dell'Algarve perché il re João II morì lì nel 1495.
Sebbene il terremoto abbia spazzato via la maggior parte del tradizionale villaggio moresco nel 1755, è ancora possibile vedere resti della storia di Alvor in luoghi come la Igreja Matriz del XVI secolo con i suoi meravigliosi archi e pilastri manuelini.
Nonostante i continui sviluppi fin dagli albori del turismo negli anni '60 (soprattutto sul lato orientale), gli edifici sono prevalentemente bassi e il fascino del centro storico con le stradine acciottolate che conducono al porto sulla laguna dell'estuario del fiume ancora resti.

Great host and always quick to respond. Very friendly. We had a wonderful stay, great location and outdoor area was perfect. The only downfall for us was the kitchen. The lack of kitchenware for young children and we couldn’t see the oven settings to know if we had the grill or oven on.

The photos dont do it justice it is a lovely villa and has alot of privacy! There is plenty of room for 8 adults with a room and ensuite with its own private entrance which was great for my daughter when sleeping as she wasnt dostribed by other guests. We hosted my sisters wedding morning from this villa and it was perfect! The host is lovely and is quite local to the villa so is there if you ever need her. Thanks so much for the stay.

Fantastic location! Great villa!

We arrived at the villa in the middle of the night & a lovely lady was waiting to welcome us.The villa was amazing! Lovely sized pool with enough sunloungers for the 8 of us.There was plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. Great facilities & lovely bedrooms.The owner Lena was really lovely & helpful & was available by email at any time.Location was fantastic! 3 min walk takes you to a lovely cafe/bar with cheap drinks. 10 mins walk to the centre of Alvor with a great selection of cafe's, bars, restaurants & lovely gift & boutique shops.20 mins walk to a lovely, clean, large beach. We even went on a lovely boat ride to watch the sunset.To summarise, a fantastic villa in a perfect location. We would definitely recommend it & we will be returning. Thanks Lena.

Relaxing Spring Break

A well proportioned property in a great location. We are a group of 7 ladies, who regularly take weekends breaks and an annual holiday in the sunshine. The villa is located on a lovely quiet street, within easy walking distance to the centre of Alvor. All bedrooms were well equipped, the smallest was sufficient for our needs, but would have been a bit of a squash if we had 8 adults. Beds were comfortable and bedding was great, with a washing machine for laundering sheets in-between changes). Good secure private sun terrace and pool, not overlooked and minimal noise from other villas heard. Sunbeds were comfortable with cushions and beach towels provided and easily moved into sunny spots which was all day round. All bathrooms were clean and functional. Towels and bathmats were good. Hot water was extremely hot, showers were forceful although was running cooler by the 7th shower of the evening (understandable).Would definitely stay here again, our hosts were on call if we needed them (we didn't) and left us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Wold absolutely recommend - we will be returning in future.

Adult family holiday

Just returned from a great holiday with our grown up children Had a great time , villa as described , plenty of room Really enjoyed the outside patio for breakfast and relax time Excellent location , lots of bars and restaurants nearby . Very misleading property which needs a lot of updating

The property is very tired with most items needing replacement. Sun-beds were broken, the kitchen with very few items to cook for a large group, uncomfortable beds and most importantly it was not clean at all. In a positive the pool is fab (although misssing tiles) and the location of the villa is fab. The owner also feels they can walk into the property anytime without knocking as well as all of the staff, which is far from ideal. As a final point the WiFi is next to useless!

Amazing!!

Fabulous stay at Casa Joana. Location perfect, supermarket only a few minutes walk, restaurants and shops all within 10 minute walk. Villa was absolutely perfect, very clean and had everything we needed Children had an absolute ball in the pool. Lena was always available of you needed anything. We will definitely be back!! So sad to be home!!!

Magnificent rental property

We stayed in June ‘24 for 11 nights - we are a family of 8 with ages ranging from 3 to 79. This is a wonderful property to stay at for a family or friends group. All on 1 level with 3 decent sized bedrooms and a 4th (twin) which is small. The outside dining / relaxation area by the pool is superb and the pool itself is great - very private and great for adults and kids alike (albeit it’s deep so regular safety precautions must be made with children and any non-swimmers). The owners live nearby and are very attentive to your needs and deal with any emerging issues promptly and efficiently. Overall highly recommended. Alvor generally is a superb holiday venue. Superb restaurants and bars and very chilled out … we will be returning (again and again) ! Thank you.

Amazing property with lovely host

Communication before we stayed was great. The villa was spotless when we arrived and all ready to go. It's in a great location, we walked 95% of the time to all the different places we wanted to see. Pool was lovely to have as the weather was unusually warm, and although cold (it was April) the kids loved it. Host was discreet but attentive to anything we needed during our stay. All bedrooms were a good size and the outside eating area was dry even when we had a few rain storms. The supermarket was within walking distance, as was the beach, childrens play ground, all the main strip of restaurants, thenature board walk, the crazy golf places etc. Couldn't have wished for a better place. One of the 4 bedrooms is only accessible via the pool area, which was fine for us, but something to be aware of as it did mean we had to remember to bring the front door key to use the kitchen in the night. It had it's own ensuite bathroom so no real need to go back to the main house once you've turned in for the night. One of the twin rooms also had no direct access to the outside/ pool area which was great for the kids room as we knew they wouldn't be able to stray outdoors and bear the pool during the night. The washing machine and dish washer added to the easyness of the holiday and we're used well! Definitely would recommend to everyone

Friends’ Getaway in Alvor

The villa in Alvor was comfortable although a bit tired. The terrace with the large dining table was perfect for all meals and playing games later in the evening. The pool was a lovely bonus. The kitchen was equipped with cooking appliances and a washing machine. Just to note dish detergent, dishwasher soap and spices are not provided. There was plenty of hot water . Lina was very responsive to any questions or concerns and provided extra towels and bathroom tissue easily. She was quick to have a couple of broken items fixed. She was a very kind lady who provided our party with a delicious fruit salad. The villa was well situated in a quiet and safe residential area. It was an easy 8 minute walk to the grocery store and about 17 minutes to the wonderful beach. The town center was easy to get around and had great restaurants, nice cafes and a cute shops. We did do an excursion off the beach, to the Caves of Benagil which we enjoyed and a food tour in Lagos ( get your guide company) which was great. Alvor was perfect for a friends getaway to relax and reconnect.
