Attico con vista meravigliosa sia dal piano inferiore (camera da letto e camera da pranzo) che dalla terrazza al piano superiore. La terrazza è attrezzata con divano, poltroncine e tavolinetto: perfetta per bersi un porto a fine giornata. Appartamento molto ampio. Unico neo il riscaldamento non funzionante nei bagni (siamo andati a febbraio). Ottima e puntuale assistenza da parte dell'host.

Andrea was not helpful . we were made to wait for a code just to be able to enter the building outside of the place where we secured our luggages before being transported to the ABnB. Nick on the other was accommodating . The power went dead when using the hair dryer. Some of the appliances were not working.

Place was great. Check in required whatsapp as they sent instructions very late. Nobody at property but their office was open and Antonio's assistance was awesome. Great place in a greater location. Wonderful balcony views

Dear Torang,As explained via email, which you dis not reapond, the apartment you reserved was an apartment with balcony, not with river view.All river view apartments have river view explicitly on the name. We explained this in detail.I'm sorry if you had a bad experience due to this but we did not have available apartments for an upgrade.We hooe you can visit us another time, please make sure to reserve a river view apartment.

Andreia was so kind when we checked in! The room made our time in Porto so magical. The water view was gorgeous and made walking the river really enjoyable at night before we went to bed. The room was spacious and modern. Would love to stay here again when we return!

Property was absolutely stunning once we finally found it. I loooved the location, the river view was out of this world! The locking system they have, made me feel safe and easy for everyone in my family to get in and out without needing to share a key. The only downfall is that you cannot drive up to the property with your rental to drop off luggage! But it all worked out in the end when management had a taxi in the very early hours in the morning to pick us up for the airport. Taxis have access to drive to the property, regular vehicles do not( which makes it safe in my perspective). The only downside, our toiling was broken and we had to manually flush. Small inconvenience for the couple of nights we spent there! The complimentary Port wine, made up for the small inconveniences. It truly was an awesome experience… loved every thinking about this. I strongly recommend it. I would stay again and again.

Lovely apartment but basic issues
There was no air conditioning which I understand as it was an old building. However, it meant you had to keep the windows open and there are no fly screens- we got bitten to death. The street is really noisy when everything shuts as the waiters hover around smoking and chatting. There is no full length mirror which I really missed

Great stay!
We stayed in room 3.1- the penthouse overlooking the river. It was beautiful. The unit had a terrace which we took advantage of both nights- sitting out eating dinner, drinking wine and watching the river. It was a very serene place to spend our last couple of days. The doors opened which allowed us to bring in fresh air. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

For starters this property’s location is prime, within steps from the river front (Ribeira). Helder was really nice during the check in process. You will have to park on the street and feed the meter (about 1 euro an hour) or pay for a public parking garage. You can talk to the management of the parking garage directly across from the apartment to get a rate around $23 euros per day. The room I got was 1F facing the street with the balcony. Plenty of space to support 4 adults. You have a little kitchen as well. They give you a couple of complimentary shots of Port wine. Wi-Fi was pretty strong. I really liked the stone walls around the apartment. My negatives will be this; the hot water in the shower was hit or miss. Either really hot or really cold, there was no way to get it in-between for the duration of the shower. You had to keep trying to adjust it. There was one bulb burnt out in the kitchen. The balcony was covered in pigeon droppings. It can be a little noisy at night specially during the busy weekends so if you’re a light sleeper, which I’m not, that might be an issue. The soap bed was not working correctly, some piece might be broken on the slats. Also the mattress was stained. They charge a mandatory 2 euros per person per night, tourism tax. Can be paid via PayPal at the end of your stay. Overall, I would give this place another go when the time comes.

Solid property
The hospitality and service of the team was 10/10. The only issue I had was the first room I booked into had some mildew on the wall by the window. Room was immaculate otherwise but I asked to be moved and was Moved to an upgraded room at no charge with no problem.
View from Room 1 on top floor. Incredible patio with this view.

I stayed 3 nights at this aptments in Feb 2020. The place of the room was different from I expected. When I registered Douro apartments-rivertop, I expected I could see Louice 1 bridge at home and room will make me feel at home. But when I was led to my room, my room was about 700 meters far from I expected, could not see the bridge, and I did not feel comfortable as room. One day later when I found something was wrong, I asked the staff who led me to the room, he answered they have several aptments which placed here and there, and the room I had registered was the room he led. Even though the staff explained very kindly and I could understand, their registration system is enough to make clients be confused. After coming back to my home, I checked about the Douro apt-rivertop. If I make registeration again, I might be comfused and make wrong registration, again. I will never register this DouroAptment-rivertop again, if I have chance to visit Porto next time. Their room, shown at registeration system, is very nice, but they would not take me the room I expect.

Porto was our second stop on our Portugal holiday. Weather may not be ideal, we knew this going in. Drizzly rain sometimes windy. We walked from the train station downhill to this apartment. Stepped into the corner restaurant to wait for the key delivery. Which was actually pretty prompt. My only issue is that we end up with a SIM card for the phone and always seem to have issues with the # (my problem). Email sometimes works better for us. In any case my husband met Sophia,collected the keys and we settled in. This apt is exactly like the photos, right on the river, balcony two 1st floor doors and upper outdoor partially covered patio. This place would be great for a family with the upper level beds. . After a long day of walking uphill we usually went upstairs and watched movies. I didn't give it an excellent point in comfort because the bed was a bit hard at times But.... I would wake up and gaze outside and that is what I wanted. It was just a wonderful way to ease into the day. We also found a great market not far from this place where we bought breakfast food. The check out woman noticed that the beer was non-alcoholic. She went back and got the right stuff (really don't get that). That would never happen in Italy lol. The little port was a nice touch. Also,amenities list a microwave, I sent a text and it was delivered shortly after. I had brought some microwave food along. I would definitely stay here again, the view of Porto and across the river is priceless.

Perfect end to Portugal vacation
This apartment was perfect! We were nervous driving in a city, but helpful instructions to a parking garage made it simple. The view was incredible; we loved watching the river traffic. The apartment was comfortable and clean; the location excellent.

Be careful which property you book
We stayed in "Studio River view". This is probably the least atrractive of the various properties listed as "Douro Apartments - Rivertop. Is does not deserve a 9 point rating. I would give it 5 (out of 10). The photos listed here include a varietly of properties. If you are thinking of booking this one, understand that it is very old, and very basic and not at all like the appealing properties that are depicted in the photos. During our stay it was very hot and leaving the windows open at night means traffic noise that makes it difficult to sleep.

Had a wonderful trip to Porto. After some initial issues with the apartment, everything was very good. Problems were addressed promptly. Location of the apartment was incredible, close to everything with incredible view of river. Only issue I had was with the platform bed.

Super Unterkunft im Zentrum der Altstadt
Super Unterkunft an bester Lage. Restaurants, Bars und Läden sind bequem zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Altstadt von Porto kann von hier aus perfekt zu Fuss erkundet werden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es empfiehlt sich auch, den Transport (z.B. vom/zum Flughafen) über die Douro Apartments zu buchen. Es klappt gut und sie sind einiges günstiger als Taxis.
