Cottage a Posada de Valdeon

“This is a very attractive old village house with lovely garden and amazing views. It is ideally located for walking the Cares Gorge trail. As the house is so old, it is dark inside (due to the small windows and dark oak floors/ceilings), and the beds are quite small (as the bedrooms are), but that’s part of the charm.”

“A fifties/sixties type building with an older feel in a fantastic location. Weather wasn’t great for us but still enjoyed the views. Breakfast and evening meal were both fine. V easy parking.staff all pleasant”

“This is a charming little hotel ... it is simple and functional ... it doesnt pretend to be anything that it is not ... but it's secret is in having a friendly and welcoming owner and friendly and attentive staff ... Boca de Huergano is not the centre of the universe, but I get the impression that this hotel is popular, loved and used by the locals in the area which gives it a very nice atmosphere and tourists are made to feel very welcome ... the food is good home cooked simple fayre made with...

“The room was very small. Two twin beds. One straight back chair. No room for suitcases. NO amenities. No terrace/balcony/view. Stay elsewhere!”

“We enjoyed our stay . Our room was very spacious, equal to 4 star locations and the amenities were very good ( parking and restaurant ). It was an easy 5 minute drive into the small town which had more restaurants and shops. This hotel is located in a beautiful area of the Picos de Europe, ideal for those who enjoy hiking and nature Meals ( breakfast and dinner) were very good and the restaurant staff were excellent and very helpful The hotel quality, location and service is far better than many...

Recomendable”

“Muy buena ubicación, personal muy amable, desayuno excelente”

“Ideally situated on the main route through the Picos mountains. Comfortable spacious apartment at reasonable cost. Restaurant attached served well presented evening meal. Friendly helpful staff.”

“Remote location. Place advertises a scenic pool which is currently empty with mattresses placed in it. Overall rundown conditions. Waterfall on site with trail to it was amazing.”

“Lovely older hotel in a good location. breakfast is good,”
