Our little beach bungalow was wonderful, simple and just what we had hoped for. The bed was truly amazing, like a “Westin Heavenly” quality pillow top. The location was ideal, not far to several beaches, restaurants and activities. Depending on the wind direction the beach just out the back door can have a lot of seaweed wash up, but we enjoyed watching all the crabs hunting through it. Having very few people staying near us was peaceful and quiet. A rental car is a must on the island and having ample parking was great. Our host was excellent on all counts, extremely helpful any time we had a question, but never seeming to hang around to keep an eye on us. Having a proper coffee machine was a great bonus. Don’t miss Anse Georgette, had some decent snorkeling there, but be prepared for quite a walk through the neighbouring golf resort to get there. If you are a snorkeler, there is no good beach snorkeling at the villas, but other beaches and a short boat ride to St Pierre provided good snorkeling. A trip to Curieuse to see the tortoises was worthwhile, but the walk from the visitor’s centre to the main tortoise viewing area for lunch was again quite long in the heat. Our tour did not supply any drinking water until lunch, so be sure to take a bottle.

Das Apartment direkt am Meer ist einfach perfekt gelegen und sehr gut ausgestattet. Außerdem ist es sehr geräumig und sauber. Leider war der Strand von Algen bedeckt, was jedoch an einem Sturm und dem Wind lag. Am Abreisetag war nur noch 1/3 der Algen vorhanden. In der Nähe befindet sich dafür der traumhafte Strand Anse Georgette, zu dem man als Gast dieser Unterkunft immer Zutritt bekommt.

Schönere Unterkunft als Strand

Belle Plage hat drei geräumige und sehr praktisch eingerichtete Bungalows, in einem wohnen die beiden superfreundlichen Besitzer, welche mit wirklich allem helfen, was man irgendwie brauchen könnte. Mal ein Bund Bananen, mal einige Schnitze Papaya und jede Menge gute Tipps. Entgegen dem Namen ist der Strand das am wenigsten Schöne am Belle Plage. Bei unserem Besuch war er sehr stark von Seegras betroffen, so dass Schwimmen nicht möglich war. Hingegen hat Belle Plage einen permantenten Pass für Anse Georgette, einen der schönsten Strände von Praslin überhaupt. Auch kann man gut zu Fuss über den Berg zur Anse Lanzio, der Rückweg ist dann alerdings sehr steil und heiss! Der Flugplatz ist in unmittelbarer Nähe (Vorteil, stört überhaupt nicht, da nur kleinste Flieger).

Beautiful location. Extremely clean and everything had been provided for even down to insect repellent coils to burn for a romantic evening eating on the patio listening to the waves. Perfect location for walking to Anse Georgette beach and hiking over the Island to Anse Lazio beach which are both breathtaking. We hired a car for our last 3 days to explore the whole Island which our host Bert organised for us and was very cheap, however there is a regular bus service and the locals are very friendly. We had a enjoyable visit to Vallée de Mai nature reserve which was about a 20min drive . We would definitely recommend a self catering stay at Villa Belle Plage to explore Praslin Island. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and a couple of takeaways however we mainly self catered buying groceries from the 3 local stores within a short walking distance. Bert lives next door for any assistance but there is a booklet provided with all information needed for your stay. Thank you for a wonderful 8 night stay which was part of our 15 nights visiting the Seychelles

We stayed for 9 nights at Villa Belle Plage and really enjoyed our stay. All the information we received from Bert in advance was useful and relevant and helped us to plan our stay. Bert booked our hire car and it was ready and waiting as we stepped out of the airport doors. He also printed out our ferry tickets for a trip to La Digue (a definite must) and took a message from a restaurant we were trying to get in touch with. Such a lovely gentleman! The Villa is beautifully situated on a quiet beach not far from Anse Georgette, another stunning beach. The winds were coming in quite strongly most of the time we were there and bringing in some seaweed so we often swam elsewhere on Praslin but always came home for sundowners at sunset! There are several local grocery shops you can walk to and we ate in as well as dined out (the villa is well-stocked with cooking utensils). Praslin is a beautiful island and we found lots to do. We visited both Vallée de Mai and Fond Ferdinand nature trails (you can get a ticket online to cover both.) We also took Bert’s recommendation for a day out by boat to Curieuse and St Pierre for giant tortoises and snorkelling. I thoroughly recommend Villa Belle Plage.

We had a perfect week at Villa Belle Plage end of January 2026 - The quiet location right on the beach is excellent. Although it is not a private beach, due to the boulders on either side, it is almost only used by guests staying in the bungalows. - Bertrand was very helpful and always available. He also booked the taxi to the ferry for us, so we could be sure that a taxi would actually come. - The bungalow was very clean and had everything we needed. We particularly appreciated the coffee machine and the provision of candles and mosquito coils. - The internet/Wi-Fi connection was very good

Vi hadde 6 netter i en godt utstyrt villa, som ikke manglet noe av utstyr. Sengene var veldig gode! Villaen lå rett på stranda og utsikten var upåklagelig. På grunn av sjøgress og en del vind, som er på denne årstiden, var det ikke der hvor vi tok flest bad. Kun en liten gåtur unna, med inngangskort fra verten, kom vi til den vakreste stranda på øya, Anse Georgette. Vi leide bil og fikk sett hele øya. Hvor man en stoppet var det vakre strender og utsikt. Lokale butikker og take-away i gangavstand. Bert var en veldig hyggelig vert. Svarte på alt vi lurte på, ordna hvis noe måtte gjøres og fiksa leiebil. Dette stedet kan anbefales på det varmeste.

Die schönste Unterkunft während unseres Aufenthalts auf den Seychellen. Der Host Bert war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es hat uns während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts in der Villa Belle Plage an nichts gemangelt. Unser Bungalow (Gartensicht) war sehr sauber, groß und alles schien sehr neu zu sein. Falls wir wiederkommen, dann auf jeden Fall in diese Unterkunft! Der eigene Strand war zudem ebenso wunderschön. Im Gesamten können wir die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Die Villas sind sehr sauber und gepflegt und liegen im ruhigeren Teil von Praslin. Der Strand ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt. Von dort hat man jeden Abend einen schönen Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang. Wir haben besonders die private Atmosphäre in der Anlage geschätzt. Bert war ein toller Gastgeber. Er war jederzeit erreichbar und hat sich um alles sofort gekümmert. We will come back !

A notre arrivée on a vu personne ainsi qu'a notre depart. Pas de petit dejeuner sur place. On a été prévenu l'avant veille de notre arrivee qu'il n'y aurait pas de possibilité de prendre de PDJ quand nous ne pouvions plus annuler. La plage est belle mais pleine d'algues avec beaucoup de rochers et plage à risque car des requins. J'en ai vu un petit, un requin citron. La chambre est grande mais les rideaux ne sont pas assez occultants. Les tringles sont trop petites. Quand on ouvre les rideaux ils cachent la moitié de la baie vitree ou des fenetres de chaque côté. Donc moins de luminosité. La chambre est tres encombree par des meubles inutiles, 2 gros fauteuils et une table ronde en osier, dommage. Il n'y a pas de moustiquaire aux fenetres qui ont des barreaux pour aérer. L'endroit est tranquille mais loin de tout. On a pas pu retardé notre départ même d'un quart d'heure. A 9h50 on vient taper a la fenetre, il faut etre dehors a 10h. Ily a des serviettes de plage et des serviettes de toilette , c'est bien mais elles sont tres rêches, c'est du crain.

First of all, the owner Bert is really nice and helps with everything we needed. We arrived to the Seychelles for a honeymoon and he greeted us with champagne and chocolate. The villas are located right on the beach (the balcony is literally on the sand, about 20-30 meters from the water!). The villa is of a high standard, modern and equipped with everything you need (fully equipped kitchen, private sun beds, furnished balcony, dining area, outdoor shower for the sand from the sea), The owner seems to have thought of every little detail. The villas are located on the northwest coast of the island so the balcony and private beach that the property offers are right in front of the sunset. However, during the time we were (end of March) there were lots of seaweed in the water and strong waves so we did not swim at the beach but enjoyed the beauty and scenery it offers. The villas are very close to the exclusive Anse Georget beach, Bert provides free pass to rhe beach. During the COVID19 period there are no restaurants within walking distance, but in any case it is advisable to rent a car on the island. On the downside, the air conditioner could have cooled more and the current in the shower was quite weak. In general we highly recommend the property and Bert hospitality and if we ever return to the Seychelles we will definitely stay there again!

What a find! Bert has two perfectly laid-out small villas, that are immaculately clean, and would be comfortable for short or long-duration stays. Only a few steps from a wonderful private beach, the villas are aptly named. Bert is a friendly and helpful host, and there are a number of small shops, markets, and restaurants within easy walking distance. In our experience, the MAS supermarket (which is only slightly further away than the Super Value market) has a much larger selection of items. Also, while there are plenty of nearby restaurants, you should call before stopping in to make sure they are open.

Logement avec une grande qualité de finitions et de présentation, très propre, et très bien équipé. Plage privée à 15 mètres : le luxe ! Bertrand est attentionné envers ses clients et donne des renseignements précis. Badge d'accès à anse Georgette, plage à accès limité ! Bertrand, merci de récupérer le tableau des horaires de bus à donner au check in aux clients, ça nous fait gagner du temps.

Sunsets to die for

We immensely enjoyed our stay at the villa. The sunsets are to die for and we often found ourselves ditching more famous locations on the island to come and watch the sunsets from the beach beds at Villa Belle Plage. Bert also gave us very helpful recommendations and being able to go to Anse Georgette without pre-booking was great. Villa itself was nice to spend evenings at and the bed was very comfortable. We really appreciated the fact that we came back to nicely made bed and everything very tidy. The welcome drink was also very much appreciated.

Det absolut bedste - suveræn beliggenhed

Et helt fantastisk sted. Det du ser på billedet er det du får. Dejligt velfungerende værelse med en uovertruffen terrasse. Din egen strand og dine liggestole. Det findes ikke bedre. Meget venlig og hjælpsom vært. Om aftenen kunne man se nogle små stingray i vandoverfladen fra stranden. Vil du have lidt ro, din egen hytte, man alligevel gå-afstand til indkøb, restauranter m.v., så er det her du skal bo. Og den absolut smukkeste strand vi oplevede på Seychellerne kan man også gå til via et adgangskort som værten er i besiddelse af. Dette sted er et MUST :-)
