Cottage a Presteigne

“We had a great short break at The Cottage. It has everything you could need, kitchen very well equipped, comfortable bed and thoughtful touches such as the automatic nightlights. The location is very peaceful. We were very lucky on our arrival day that the weather was amazing and we had a lovely time sitting in the pretty, tranquil garden watching birds and butterflies and then listening to an owl once it went dark. Definitely coming back!”

“A welcoming, rural retreat! Horsecroft is a real home from home where the hosts go above and beyond to provide every comfort. Spacious, comfortable accommodation with stunning views, only a few minutes away from glorious Hay on Wye.Really loved staying here. Thank you Nicky and Tim.”

“Truly excellent, warm and welcoming on every level. Great facility's wonderful views. Handy local amenities' at Kington and not far too Hereford for Museums', Art and History and many beautiful rivers. The property itself is charming and extremely comfortable. All in all a great property to enjoy this part of the English/Welsh border.”

“This was a last minute thing that my family member had booked with her friend but unfortunately there was a family emergency that meant she was unable to go. I jumped at the opportunity as My sister, who has had cancer and in remission, was able to come with me. We obviously knew all the details of the location and accommodation, but when it came to go to bed, up a ladder, we expected a room, but instead there was a thin double mattress on a platform of wood, and there was no way we could stand...

“This break was superb. We were additionally blessed with the best Autumn weather I can recall. The accommodation is set in a wonderful garden, which is currently a celebration of seasonal colours ,and we were greeted by a very hospitable owner, who made us feel welcome and comfortable. A relaxed stay with ease of access to Hereford ,and we were spared any rains and fords.”

“Very enjoyable , fabulous scenery and we had extremely good weather in July 2026 . The only 2 down falls are there are no amenities on site you have to go into the town . Also I do think it’s a little pricy per night being £250 Compared to other paces that are similar .”

“We had a lovely relaxing weekend break. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. Chris and Tracey were very warm and welcoming. The cake was a nice surprise. We took our dog, and he really enjoyed himself. The rooms are all large so plenty of room for him to lie down, and we had the use of a field to walk him in. ”

“We had a fabulous time. The house is well presented. Wonderful views, very peaceful, a great place for a family get together ❤️”

“Beautiful character with original features and plenty of space for a large group. The hot tub overlooking the stunning setting was the icing on the cake. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“Good communication before and during our stay. Exceptionally clean Quiet location. Good seating areas x3 for family Well equipped kitchen Good room for the dog/s to stay”

“The property was excellent, 3 good size bedrooms for a change. Although very isolated, up a very narrow track but it was worth it. I would come back again for the week with the dogs to just chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet, and the bleating sheep.”
