Modern and luxurious within the historic frame of the building and it's facinating history. Staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We'd have no hesitation staying again and highly recommend The Cookie Jar if you're looking for a memorable overnight accommodation experience anywhere near Alnwick.”

“The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious both in the restaurant and 24 hour cafe and very reasonably priced. It was the second time we have stayed there, and when we visit Northumberland again we will not hesitate to stay there again ”

My only niggle (and it is a niggle) was that our room also had the upstairs fire escape door - which was not mentioned at all (ie, what to do in event of a fire and whether our bedroom was the fire escape access for all the rooms in our section).”

“I loved primrose cottage so much. It was just perfect for my solo trip. It really felt like a home from home, I felt so comfortable there. The duvet and pillows were so soft and plentiful. The Wi-Fi was great, no issues at all. The kitchen was very well stocked, more than it needed to be but my favourite part of the stay was the shower. It was - hands down - the most powerful shower I've ever had. Just perfect after my run on the beach I really hope I'll be back soon and hope...
