"I had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel Nile El Gezirah. I preferred it to the others for a very specific reason: its exceptional location, on an island in the middle of the Nile. You are not on the banks of the legendary Nile, but in it! In an oasis of peace. Absolutely fabulous. Every night we dined in one of the hotel's various restaurants, all excellent, practically pieds-dans-l'eau, watching the boats go by, in a beautiful atmosphere. Although the hotel has some years, it is iconic and very well maintained. It fully maintains Sofitel standards, has its own modern and classic elegance at the same time, also embracing the Middle Eastern style, well contextualized in its city. The lobby is magnificent, with a large designer staircase and high windows that open to the garden with tall palm trees and the Nile. The room was very nice, spacious, well-kept and clean, with very comfortable beds, something I value given my back problems, and the coffee corner very well equipped. Our room was on the 19th floor, and the music mentioned in some reviews only served as a light background, we always slept well. The staff is super nice, the service really top notch! On my birthday, without me saying anything, they gave me a wonderful surprise by having an exquisite cake in my room that tasted like it was made by top pastry chef Iginio Massari! A truly most welcome gift, a clear sign of Sofitel's impeccable style. For my next trip to Cairo, I will definitely come back here!"

"It was a really good stay despite the traffic jam on the street. It was a bit difficult to fall asleep, our room was at the 7th floor Nile view. Nice restaurants and spa, we had an awesome massage. "

"Consiglio vivamente di alloggiare in questo hotel, la posizione sul Nilo è invidiabile, la camera ampia e confortevole con balcone e vista, colazione vastissima a dir poco, tantissimi ristoranti di cui uno al 41mo piano con vista sulla città a 360 gradi (si gira in modo impercettibile durante la cena) che va provato senz’altro come esperienza ! La piscina è molto grande e si gode di ottimo relax e tintarella! Secondo me scegliere questo hotel può rendere l’esperienza della città del Cairo (caotica e piena di degrado) molto piacevole !!! "

I figli avevano comunicato all'albergo il festeggiamento di un evento personale e all'arrivo abbiamo trovato in camera una torta. Colazione a pagamento ma vale più che il suo prezzo. Abbiamo cenato al ristorante libanese interno. I piatti erano ottimi e a prezzi ragionevoli. Se torno al Cairo, prenotero certamente di nuovo in questo albergo."
