“The pirate retreat is a great spot. Yes there could be some fixes here and there but the view and feeling like you’re floating above the waves more than makes up for some deferred maintenance. The retreat I would give five stars but for the overall property I need to deduct one star as there were big parties which took over the rest of the property and made the other amenities that usable. “We booked this as a last minute weekend trip and could not have been happier. It's right on the beach, nicely kept grounds, delightfully friendly dogs, and kind and inviting support staff. The small cantina on site was nice for just realxing at in the afternoon/evening.”

“The property manager David seems he does not know anything about bookings...gave me a wrong room and wanted to charge me extra 300-400 dllS more to get a better room that I originally had payed for. Washer and dryer did not work and Jacuzzi extra charge 20 dllS more that was included in the amenities of my booking..Never going back again ”

“Very clean, the common areas and the unit where we stayed at, but very outdated, not pleasant to see. It was ok for our 1-night stay. For starters, the way to get to the unit, it's a very dangerous spiral stairs that don't feel very secure. The door knob to enter into the unit was not secured properly (wiggly) and not easy to open since the key would get stuck. The closet of the room smelled like mold due to a hole in the wall that is right behind the bathroom, where the tub is placed. Pillows...

“I thought it was a stand alone home but it's not. It was the 3rd story of a building and very narrow dirty and steep stairs took us up which passed strangers sitting and eating on their balcony. Unit didn't have all things for cooking and needed to be rewashed for sure. Don't leave anything on the balcony because it will be gone!”

“I needed a change of scenery and am so happy I found this place!! The house had everything I needed and was extremely comfortable. The views are breathtaking and sleeping and waking up to the sounds of the ocean are worth the price of admission alone!! The staff was so friendly and my dog made a few new friends with the dogs on the property. I can't thank everyone there enough for being so accommodating and making me feel so welcome and safe. Can't wait to get down there again!!”

“Our group consisted of three families with kids ranging from 12 - 20. The house easily fit our group and we loved using the firepit at night. Unfortunately, it was too cold for the pool and spa, maybe next time.”
