“Although this home is about 15 minutes from the town of Killarney, the Irish farm experience is what we were looking for- & this home delivered. The house was clean & large enough for our party of 7 adults. My only recommendation to the owner would be to replace or add bed pillows & to include more towels (at least 1 bath towel per person). An outside table & chairs would have enhanced the experience. The patio overlooking the farm was really nice, but there was nothing to sit on out there....

“This cottage is so authentic from the beautiful well kept grounds, the thatched roof and so many thoughtful details. If you are looking for a truly Irish escape this is the place for you. The host so kindly helped us with a change in travel plans, even left us some fresh eggs and authentic Irish bread, butter and jam. the house is so thoughtfully updated and outfitted. “What an absolute joyous experience! Colleen met us upon arrival and showed us around their wonderful place! It felt a bit like the Shire, really! Comfy little abodes and unusual structures. The yurt we stayed in was lovely and large. With wood heat we stayed very warm even on frosty nights! We had a camp fire and nice kitchen facilities. But the best part was all the critters!! There is a pig and ponies and a duck. My kids particularly enjoyed the kitty, "Tiger" who spent our nights snuggled...

“We are a group of four from Italy and we booked this farm for 6 days, from the end of July to the beginning of August. We had a really good time thanks to the courtesy, kindness and helpfulness of the owner Tom. The house is welcoming, with classic and quite dated furnishings, however it has everything you need, both for the kitchen, for the bathroom (you can use the washing machine and dryer) and for the living room in general. “We had a fantastic time at Winchmore Hill House. We had 2 families and the house was the perfect size for our large group - not too small and not too big. The large group would usually congregate in the kitchen/dining area which worked great especailly w/ the easy access to the patio. We visited many towns on our daily tours but were glad that we picked Kenmare as our base as again it was the perfect Goldilocks fit small and quaint but still plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from.”
