“The resort community was great. It is sad to see abandoned golf resort buildings around the area. But the resort itself felt very safe. Despite no air conditioning, the combination of ocean breeze and ceiling fans were still great.”

“Convenient location for our visit to the volcano park. The resort feels a little tired, as if it had a former glamorous life when the adjacent golf course was open. “Small hiccup with checkin, but the property manager quickly resolved the issue. Heat of summer is tough, trade winds weren’t quite enough for us but we managed to rest and sleep well. Bring something from Kona to grill, there isn’t much around the area for resupply (as the description states). Overall, a great place to see the black sand beaches and south point.”

“The house was beautiful and location was ideal for visiting Volcanoes National Park and black sand beach. Only knock we have was the shower water temperature never got very warm. While it wasn’t cold, it wasn’t ideal either. Otherwise 5 stars!”
