1. The food was really bad, old, dry, flavorless. Cheese can tell has been sitting out for a while, sweets were dry, boxed cereal was stale, bread was brittle and old.
2. Staff seemed uninterested in helping guests.
3. Hard to communicate with staff when no one speaks English.
4. Made reservations for the 2 restaurants that require them. Horrible waiting times we had to leave both of the restaurants because we were waiting on our food for over an hour and waitstaff ignoring us completely.
5. Cleaning crew never replaced our tissues for days nor cleaned the room properly!
6. Ordered room service one time and it was such a hassle getting the order wrong after telling us they understood it over the phone and then the staff comes and says I can't give you milk its a different department you need to call. There is one number and that is for the room service.
7. We go sit at breakfast, we get lucky to have a waitstaff come ask if we need coffee or tea. We go ourselves hunting for them to let them know, we wait for a long time to get anything food related. The only thing fast and efficient is getting the alcohol.
8. Website is horrible, glitches, and barely works properly. Sucks that we can't reserve online.
For a resort that lists itself as luxurious, it is way from that.
Neither would I be recommending nor coming back to Zel. Unfortunately, we told the staff that it was our honeymoon, disappointing that we had stayed there for such occasion.
