“the accommodation needs a lot of attention. Whilst this is located centrally on the island and within walking distance to beach and pub the cleanliness of the accomodation was 4/10. For the amount of money you pay you would expect the place to be in a better condition, however, we find this with a lot of the houses on Stradbroke Island, the attention to detail is not there, big cobwebs everywhere, broken slates, missing remote controllers to air con units, sand everywhere.”

“Exactly what we were hoping for!The house was super clean, and checking in was so easy. The directions to get there were straightforward and simple to follow. It was fantastic to find that the property looks exactly like the listing pages. The outdoor entertainment area was excellent and a huge bonus for our stay. Thanks for a great experience!”

Orchid beach is such a beautiful location - close to Champagne pools, Ngkala and not too far from the Western side of the island. “Fabulous location! My recommendation, explore the trails and sites nearby… stock up on supplies for a couple of days and just chill! Read a book ( or two ) relax in the bath, reset from world and relax to the sounds of the local wildlife. Perfect escape, will be returning at some point.”

“Had everything we needed. It was clean and well presented. We were able to talk to the host with the one little query we had. The home is in a quiet location close to Australia Zoo and a large shopping centre where we could stock up. A great place to spend some time.”

Best of all was how tranquil it was, the perfect place to slow down and recharge after a day out. The driving directions were clear, and the circular drive-through made arriving easy. “We had a fantastic time. House was clean and had the required amenities. Situated close to the beach. Stairs had been repaired. Could do with a BBQ area. Also, the arrangement of beds in some of the rooms was a bit weird (double bed plus bunk bed plus single bed in same room).”
