We’ve been independent winemakers for so long that we can’t even tell you the exact date our passion for winemaking began. In short, we’ve been making wine in our cellar for over 200 years, following the Beaujolais tradition. From father to son, from mother to daughter, we pamper our vines—most of which are over seventy years old—and craft our Gamay and Chardonnay grapes with love and poetry. Combining technical progress, respect for the environment, and innovation, we cultivate our 17 hectares with the guidance of our ancestors. Since 2018, I have taken over the estate from my parents, Jeannine and Gérard. With our roots firmly anchored in this ancestral land, we love to share our passion for Beaujolais wines.
For a peaceful getaway, we invite you to stay in our bed-and-breakfast rooms and cottage. Our 17th-century building, constructed with local stone, is nestled facing the Alps, where on clear days our neighbor, the sometimes capricious Mont Blanc, peeks out on the horizon. We welcome you to Quincié-en-Beaujolais, in the heart of the Beaujolais Geopark! Because we are deeply committed to our Beaujolais values, it is essential for our family to protect our grapevines. Out of respect for our terroir, we treat our vines like our own children! We must give them the best of ourselves, pamper them, talk to them, and shower them with love—but we must also preserve our local flora and fauna so they can thrive to their fullest potential. In return, our vines never fail to give us magnificent grapes! This is how we are able to produce high-quality wines that express the estate’s diverse terroirs.
In addition, we preserve and plant hedgerows, trees, and small water sources to allow nature to reclaim the environment. We use alternative practices that minimize the use of inputs and help improve biodiversity by placing beehives near the vineyards. We started with this simple observation: the richer, more complex, and more diverse the biodiversity, the harder it is for a predator or disease to thrive. It is therefore essential for all of us to adopt practices that help protect our planet.
