“Stayed one night in a double room here and In a remote location on a farm and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s minutes away from plane wreck and Seljalandfoss which made for a healthy hike on a summer evening. Everything is self explanatory/ service and more of a hostel feel than guesthouse or hotel which we didn’t mind at all. They say there is no breakfast but they have an excellent coffee machine and cereals for you to start your day. Only complaint was the smell in our tiny bathroom but...

“My complaint is with with the lack of clarity in the listing for this stay.
They do not clearly state how difficult it is to access this property.
THE ONLY OPTIONS FOR ACCESSING THIS PROPERTY:
1. Park 7+ kilometers away and hike with your luggage
2. Take a bus that runs a few times a day and costs 10,000 ISK per person per direction (Price as of time of posting) (totaling roughly $165 USD per person to access this property)
YOU CANNOT ACCESS THIS PROPERTY VIA CAR, even 4x4

“Godaland is conveniently located for visits to southern Iceland and to a small town with thermal pools and an interesting artist’s cafe. It is a large facility with some 90+ guests. Our room was very clean with external bathroom. We enjoyed our stay but for the price it was not exceptional.”
