Very outdated hotel. No elevator. Our assessment is that there are long term residents that stay there. WiFi did not work, tv did not work. Not enough towels. Only one set when on reservation it is listed as 2. Window air conditioners. Outdated carpeting. Area behind hotel was an apartment complex which looked rundown and random people walking around. Front staff were nice.

Property was a bit isolated. The staff was amazing, and would have done anything to make the patrons happy. Rooms were surprisingly updated. The exterior was a bit off putting, but the rooms made up for it.

Unique: Old military base facility. Just beginning to be renovated by young determined likable owner. Could use some help/advice. Continent to Champlain and price is right. Love to back in a few months to improvements.

We stayed overnight for the eclipse eve. The owner pulled out the stops for all his guests and didn’t even raise his rate. An honest man, a clean room and hot breakfast as well. Please support this honest businessman. It’s obvious he cares about his guests and how he supports his family. Would stay here again.

This property is historic. It is part of the old Rantoul Air Force Base. All around it are vintage buildings that were just off the base. The base itself can be explored. It's as if the government decided to close it, and did so expeditiously and at as little expense as possible. It feels a bit like being on the set of a post-apocalypse movie. If you want a standard hotel, this isn't for you. It's very utilitarian. The owners are working to restore, they are 18 months into the project. It's in what looks like a sketchy part of town, but really it's just quiet. Almost a ghost town. The bed was comfortable. They allow dogs. We are dog people. It was a good valuee.

Large room with huge TV, kitchen area, (micro and fridge in its own area). King bed was comfortable. Off the beaten path so it was very quiet, lots of parking for large vehicles. Staff was friendly and helpful. Extended my stay for an extra night due to weather issues at home, with no issues. Included breakfast but I was out of the room before 6am both days, so I cant speak to the breakfast, but the coffee was ready by 530am and was good. Will definately stay again

It is an old remodelled hotel in an old mil bade, but they are better than any other hotels at this price range. Huge TV with modern streaming. The personnel was very nice and they prepared every detail in the room and in the breakfast like in expensive hotels. Definitively I do recommend it, if you want to sleep well and save a few bucks.

The history of this place is awesome. Rooms were immaculate, staff were so helpful. Best breakfast we had on our entire trip. I felt I had a personal concierge. Help with bags and anything we needed. So nice to stay in a non chain hotel.

Vaz and his staff were excellent. Just one Issue at check in but l hold Expedia responsible for this . With an extra effort from , and l apologize l have forgotten her Name,the very accommodating and helpful lady at check in and Vaz going the extra mile at check out the problem was solved . They are in the middle of some Renovations but nothing that should interfere with staying here. I caught them in the middle of the week of the Big Horse Sale in town and they were busy accommodating extra requests and inquiries. It was a little chaotic at my check in but they handled it better than most would have . I would return and stay again.

The pictures on the website are not of this hotel. It is an old military facility that has been converted. Everything was extremely dated. There weren’t curtains on the windows, just thin blinds that didn’t keep out the security lights. The window unit was extremely noisy. We weren’t able to sleep at all. The property manager/owner was nice, but clearly overwhelmed.

The owner and staff were outstanding. They were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. Beds were comfortable and rooms very clean. They served a typical complimentary breakfast, but went above and beyond by serving fresh fruit and freshly ground coffee from a local roaster. Their hospitality and special touches made our stay a very positive experience! We’ll be back!

Although our stay was not the most ideal or comfortable, the staff was understanding of our concerns and willing to compensate for them. The building continues to be under renovation, and we were assured that our next experience with them would be positive. I will definitely be booking another stay with them the next time I am in the area.

The room was clean BUT you call the front desk no one there because there is no one working there. The building is left wide open for anyone to walk in all night. When I got there I guess I got lucky and found some one to get a key to a room. You have to let water run for 15 minutes to get hot. I had to repair the toilet so it would flush. The next morning I called the number on the desk window all I got was a voicemail. This place should not be open or advertised to the public at all and I’m requesting a refund.
