  • This cozy waterfront cottage offers the charm of a classic Maine lake camp, lovingly maintained and tucked away in a serene neighborhood on Papoose Island. Enjoy stunning views of Sebago Lake and a beautiful waterfront setting, where the sandy shoreline leads to a pebbly entry into the water, with a protective rock jetty creating a sheltered swimming area. Surrounded by natural landscaping and wooded areas, the property offers a peaceful setting to enjoy the lake, with a cement landing and picnic table providing the perfect spot to dine with a view. The cottage also features a fully glassed-in porch, where you can enjoy beautiful sunrises, listen to the rain, or simply relax and take in the natural light and lake views. For enjoying the water, the property comes equipped with a swim float, pedal boat, and 12' rowboat. The dock can accommodate a boat up to 24' long, giving you access to the 40+ miles of boating waterways on Sebago Lake, as well as Brandy Pond and Long Lake via the Songo River. Beautiful private cove

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our favorite spot on Sebago Lake is this private cove on the Raymond Cape. It is a great swimming spot with dock and float.We enjoyed cooking out on the gas grill and making smores at the fire pit.

We enjoyed staying at this lovely cozy cabin tucked away on Raymond Neck on Sebago Lake, Maine The owners provided everything we needed to have a nice, comfortable stay.

Papoose Island Lake Stay

Beautiful location and property. Wonderful swimming area and view of the lake. Gets a lot of shade during the day due to all the trees but we had a wonderful time. The one bathroom was tight sometimes but we enjoyed our time here and recommend the property as one of the best locations

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We (mom and 2 teenage boys) had a fabulous week staying at the Thomas Property. We rented kayaks from Sebago Trails and thoroughly enjoyed paddling, swimming off the beach, jumping off the float, and relaxing in the hammock. The location of this property cannot be beat! Sandy beach, dock, and float - something for all swimmers. We had an issue with the tap water one day, but Krainin and the owner came to our rescue within an hour of my call and the issue was resolved within the day. I was so pleased with the care and attention we received! My only "complaint" is that the mattresses are not great - so sleep wasn't ideal. But we caught up plenty during the day snoozing in the hammock! I highly recommend this property!

The house is immaculately taken care of and well-stocked. The sandy beach is perfect for little ones to play on all day. If you are looking for the most updated and modern home, this property won't be for you. But if you are looking for a home that has been well cared for with everything you need and a private beach? You'll have a great time. The only thing to note is that the bedrooms are small so if you need a place to put something like a packnplay, it will be tight. We did make it work last time though! Plenty of common space for the family to hang out otherwise. Thanks for having us!

Each vacation we considered to debate not only that was the house clean well-maintained. Everyone has been an excellent experience every year. Whenever there’s been issues that we have had to Bring up during our stay, both Krainin and the owner have been extremely responsive. We will happily stay at this location for years to come.
