What you pay is what you get. If you’re not expecting much and just need a basic place to stay close to the beach, this hotel is okay. The location is good and it’s close to the beach.
The rooms are extremely simple. There is no dresser, no table, no nightstands—basically nowhere to unpack or put your belongings. The room has a bed, a fridge, and one small shelf, and that’s it.
The bathroom was very narrow. Sitting on the toilet was uncomfortable, and if I were a bit taller, I honestly wouldn’t have fit properly (see photo).
There is a bar next door that usually closes around midnight. A couple of nights it was very loud, which may be an issue if you’re a light sleeper.
The stairs to the second and third floors are very steep and tall. This is not very convenient for older guests, anyone with knee problems, or families with small children.
On the positive side, the room was clean and housekeeping came every other day. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but acceptable.
For the price, you can find better places on Koh Samet, including hotels with a pool or directly on the beach.
Would I stay here again? No. It works for a short, no-frills stay, but don’t expect comfort or good value.
