Upstairs (13 steps), you'll find a play/relaxation area (with a sloping ceiling) ideal for children, and at either end of the room, two sleeping areas with sloping ceilings: one with two single beds (90 x 190 cm) and the other with a double bed (140 x 190 cm).

On the terrace, you can enjoy garden furniture, sun loungers, a barbecue, parasols, and a charcoal grill. The house is a former forge in the village of Razac-de-Saussignac, completely renovated by the owners. Just a 20-minute drive from Bergerac, and in close proximity to the beautiful fortified towns of Eymet, Issigeac, Monbazillac, Monpazier, and Beaumont-du-Périgord. From this house, explore the vineyards of the Périgord Pourpre region.

Originally from Northern France, we dreamed of settling in the Dordogne. That dream became a reality in 2018! We now also live in Razac de Saussignac.

Four years of work were required to transform the village's old forge into our gîte, La Forge Basile, named in memory of its blacksmith, Basile.

We renovated and decorated it with care and are delighted with the positive feedback from our guests. We look forward to welcoming you in 2026.
