“We have stayed at this lovely home multiple times over the course of our child’s time at Carleton College. It’s become for us, our home away from home, a place where our shoulders go down the moment we arrive. The owners are incredibly kind and thoughtful in how they prepare for and communicate with guests. It’s always clean and furnished in a way that lends itself to good sleep and relaxation. It’s also conveniently located, within a few blocks of campus, the Weitz Center, or downtown....

“The listing said three bedrooms but it is really a main bedroom on the first floor with a loft upstairs that has two queen beds. It still worked out perfectly for my family. The two loft beds were separated by a living room area and a privacy wall. The full bathroom upstairs was spacious for my adult kids.Loved the airy decor on the first floor as well as the rustic warm decor of the loft.My family was in town for a wedding but would love the opportunity to stay again!”

“This sweet cottage was perfect for our weekend away from everything. The house was very clean and had what we needed to prepare simple meals. It was very quiet, wuth only a few friendly neighbors occasionally driving by. Bring your binoculars! We saw deer, pheasants, racoons, coyotes, cranes, and eagles in the field across the road. Alex responded very quickly to any messages we sent to him.”

“This cottage was the perfect place for my family to spend a few days away. The house has everything you need to make it feel like a home away from home. We loved that everything was an easy drive to lots of different small towns. Plenty to enjoy at the cottage with the fire pit, hot tub, and beautiful property for fishing or just relaxing. We would make this our first pick if we stay in the area again! ”
