Hotel vicino a Redwood Heritage State Wilderness - Crescent City

“Lighthouse Inn was among the highest rated stays in Crescent City, CA, but it should be one of the lowest. I will preface by saying that all of our issues with our stay were kindly solved by the staff at the hotel. When we first arrived, the front of the building was under construction, where visible mold and wood was exposed to the guests. “We had to leave early and it was impossible to get a hold of a manger onsite or by phone. Also, one day when we are were out visiting, someone came into our room and packed all our stuff up like we were getting kicked out. Not cleaning service as they don't have it. We still had one more night's stay. All of our toiletries and food was thrown into our laundry bag and had to be thrown out. No explanation. Terrible experience.”

“Bed was uncomfortable & crooked but sheets clean, towels provided were small, old & hard but again, at least they were clean. Shower lukewarm, soap & shampoo cheapest stuff you could provide, carpet & furnishings very old outdated , curtains had holes. $120 I expect more but it is summer in Crescent City so gouging expected, front desk lady was very nice 😊”

“The mouth of the Smith River is a magical place and the XVR Resort provided a first class way to experience it. I heartily recommend this place to anyone, especially those who may want to ‘unplug’, disconnect and enjoy an idyllic few days with nature. We’ll definitely be back!”
