“Atenas is right near the beach so food and activities are all super walkable. All my staff interactions (check in, check out, and buying a late night bottle of water) were easy and polite despite the language barrier. I got a private room and bath — which were clean and in good condition, it was honestly one of the best showers I’ve ever had at a backpacker hostel. Only issue and it was minor, was the internet was a bit spotty. Overall this was excellent for the price!”

The staff is the most caring and helpful I've found so far: they will help you out before, during and after your stay, with tips and logistics. The place is new, well furnished and clean. Breakfast options are very good and healthy. Last but not least the location is very fine: close to the beach view and to the centre of Barranco (very nice neighborhood, btw!). Strongly recommended! ”

“Miskiwasi was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and smelt amazing. The food served at the hotel was lovely and very delicious. A nice variety for breakfast and dinner. The owners of Miskiwasi were so accommodating. They helped up with booking tours and taxis, and made sure we got to each place we needed to be. We would highly recommend doing Chimpa Fortress as we saw over 20 condors and enjoyed a hike at the same time (much cheaper then the Colca cross tour, less...
