Nestled up in the north-east Finland lies Kuhmo. There's no doubt you've heard of (or maybe even tried) floating down a river in the summer, but what about in freezing February? Kuhmo, Finland is the only place in the world that offers such an excursion where you can float down Class II rapids while bundled up in layers of fleece under a survival suit. When you are in the eastern region of Finland in the winter a dog sledding adventure is a must. It was our means of transportation from one guest house to our next hotel.
