“We stayed here for one night en route to the wine area. Great place to break our journey after driving from Prince Albert, via Swartberg Pass and Cango Caves. Enjoyed a drink on terrace watching sunset over the mountains, before having a lovely meal, cooked and served by the owners. Breakfast on terrace was fresh and tasty too”

“We arrived late in the evening as dinner was being served but after a slight mix up with our room we were given lovely cottage/house that was beautiful. We were only here for one night but it was so lovely. The dinner was simple but really enjoyable and all guests sat around the fire pit afterwards until late into the night telling stories about their travels. The staff here were so friendly and helpful and would recommend this place. ”

“We loved our stay at Doorn Kraal. Firstly the staff are lovely and so professional. Our room (the 2 bedroom cottage) was super neat and tidy, and it had everything we needed and it was very quiet as it’s a bit further away. Just be mindful at night, there may be one or two spiders in the trees when you walk to the cottage (have a flashlight). The food was soo delicious, we could not stop thinking about the wonderful dinner. We will stay again. Thanks to all the staff! ”

“Servizio e gestione pessimi, in una struttura antica e affascinante sebbene male conservata. La colazione e il servizio ristorante sono da ostello. Il personale non è qualificato, è abbigliato e si comporta in modo indecoroso. La struttura dista 14 km dalla città di Knysna e gli ultimi 3,5 km sono di strada sterrata priva di illuminazione. La sera di Capodanno il personale ha abbandonato la struttura, lasciando la reception vuota e chiudendo il ristorante. Sconsiglio di soggiornare in questo...
