When I checked in, I was informed of the water main break which I understand happens, and was told water would be off until it could be restored and no deposit this time. No prob and thank for not taking $40 only to return it in the morning. I get to my room and could tell things were not good when I opened the door and a wave of nausea overwhelmed me. The room smelled of…something idk, and was filthy. I didn’t want to say anything at first because this family has taken this property over and have done an excellent job of making it nice for travelers and a water main break is a massive problem that can be overwhelming and I’m sure they had problems. I stayed in the for several hours, hoping that the water would come back on so that I could clean up a little bit I was sweaty it smelled in there and I wanted to clean up the unit itself just a little bit. It never came back on and I got increasingly frustrated because of the fact that I was tired and stinky sweaty and it just wasn’t going so well so I called Expedia and trying to get my money back so I can go to another property and that didn’t work. They offered me 2500 points but the guy said he didn’t know if that was enough for a room. The property said that they would get out in the morning to clean. It did absolutely no since I had to check out. I have to say Expedia really dropped the ball here not the property. They did the best they could. They could’ve offered me my money back, but Expedia could’ve made that happen .
