Un appartamento completamente restaurato in una delle case in stile "funkis" di Reykjavik (una delle prime case residenziali progettate dall'architetto in un quartiere pianificato), situato in una tranquilla zona residenziale, a meno di 5 minuti a piedi dalla principale via dello shopping nel centro di Reykjavik con numerosi ristoranti, bar e negozi nella zona. La casa è tipica della zona ed è rivestita da quello che può essere meglio descritto come rivestimento in cemento simile alla lava per la protezione contro gli elementi.

I principali musei, gallerie e porto di Reykavik (nel caso in cui si voglia andare a vedere le balene) sono tutti raggiungibili in 5-20 minuti a piedi.

Il nostro ristorante di pesce preferito, Humarhusid (l'aragosta) è a soli 15 minuti di cammino lungo la via principale dello shopping.

it was the perfect place to stay as we were up and out early to see the the fantastic sites that Iceland has to offer. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. We had everything we needed, the place was clean. would highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy apartment! Our host was very thoughtful with the little touches, like a fully stocked kitchen and great storage. We drove on this trip, but it was close to the bus line and within walking distance of our favorite pool and bakery. We would stay here again, for sure.

Overall, I'm happy with the stay, but did have a few things that made it a bit less than perfect. The location is perfect for walking into the city. The street parking is free and was never an issue to find. The flat itself was nice, it is in a basement/somewhat underground level, so there are stairs to the entry door. No issues getting into the flat, communication was great and provided in advance. I walked in to find a used washcloth (I assume from the cleaning crew) on a dining room chair. The first night we showered the flat got so steamy, we had to open all the windows to vent it, we were provided info that opening the windows does help with moisture. However, I'm certain the in floor heating wasn't working in the kitchen, because that floor was always cold, so windows were closed most of the time and only opened them for showering. The bed was ok, it wasn't the best for us, and the pillows were flat as cardboard. The first night, we didn't realize there were extra pillows for the pull out bed in the living room, so we slept with one flat pillow each. Once we found extra (no additional pillow cases provided), it did help a bit, but those were also very flat. Washing machine was a nice perk, plenty of space for your belongings; no kitchen towels provided (cloth or paper), no shower soap, only shampoo bottles - overall, we made it work.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, however the flat was lacking the basics such as hand soap, Paper towels, hand towels, wash clothes and a bath matt. More kitchen utensils would have helped when cooking.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment, July 11-20, 2024. It is centrally located and we had very easy parking for our rental car, Close to shopping, resteraunts and sight seeing. We really liked the apartment. Bus stop 11 for tour buses is just around the corner and a few blocks down, about a 10 minute walk. I highly recommend the apartment. Ulli was very good at communicating with me and made our stay very easy. Thank you, Lorie

We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and fairly well stocked, ample street parking. No real issues. You do hear a bit of street noise and occasionally the guest in the flat above. I had a little difficulty checking in as I couldn't find the attachment showing where the lock box was, luckily the clean crew was there for the above flat and showed me.

WOW! Was I fortunate to find this spot. With more than half of my two week holiday in Iceland focused on downtown, I could walk everywhere from this place. Out to "Fly Over Iceland" at one end and then up to Sigurjón Ólafsson Museum and the Kringlan mall. The modern simple spot suit me perfectly. "skál"

We stopped in Reykjavik for our honeymoon. This location was perfect. Close to downtown but far enough to be able easily drive to other locations. Driving in the actual downtown would be very difficult. This place had everything we needed! Great shower pressure, living room space, easy check in/out.

This basement apartment was close to everything we wanted to do in the city and is also not far from Þingvellir. We did not get the chance to see the Northern lights while staying here, but know that it is possible. We went to Sky Lagoon, which was about 12 minutes away. The apartment itself is nicely set up with a private bedroom, spacious shower (compared to our other stays in Iceland) and a kitchen with an oven (also a rare find from our other stays). We really enjoyed the location and the surrounding area. The only downside is the noise that trickles down from the occupants of the first floor apartment, but it wasn't a deal breaker. We would certainly stay here again.

Great spot for me and my girlfriend to stay for the start of our trip in Reykjavik. The flat had everything we needed. It was a great location for walking into downtown Reykjavik and exploring the city. We would stay there again when we come back to Iceland! 🇮🇸
