“Yes I was late for 9.00pm check in , but the pub was supposed to be open to 10Pm which it was not. Did not answer initial messages about a refund and refused a refund after Expedia called to request one. Make you own mind up what kind of place this is. ”

“We paid, as you can see. We turned up around an hour after booking to check in. We were completely ignored by passing staff regardless of the fact that there were four of us standing around with our bags to check in. We eventually got greeted by an abrupt member of staff. Who told us she needed to get someone else to check us in. This other member of staff came around 15 minutes later, so we bought a drink each whilst we were waiting. This other member of staff then told us they didnt realise...

“The breakfast was plentiful, with home-made jams and marmalades, home-made bread (delicious!) as well a good cooked breakfast etc.”

“We did not receive the check-in details via e-mail so could not check in and ultimately not stay overnight. The phone number that was with the booking was supposed to be a helpdesk with the operator being anything but helpful. We had a look for help at the property but could not find anyone on two separate occasions; we were also astounded to discover that the accommodation was in the middle of a wedding venue and NOT the wedding we were attending. “Wonderful customer service. I phoned to say that I would be late for final check in (10pm) and Alexandra, the lovely lady on the front desk, made sure I was checked in dignity and made me feel so safe about arriving late. This was my second time visiting The Swan for work trips to Blyton Park track. Couldn’t recommend this B&B enough. Perfect for solo female travellers.”

“Fantastic communication from the outset. Easily found and right next door to The Mayflower public house so after a long journey there’s no further travelling to do to get an evening meal. Plenty of parking, very easy check in and an exceptional selection of produce supplied for breakfast next morning. Good heating system, great bed, powerful shower, all in all with all of the other attentions to detail a great stay, very highly recommended.”

“Overall stay spoiled by slow service at dinner in restaurant.48minutes between ordering and first course being served.I had to go to staff to find out what was happening.The same happened to a couple on the next table.Very poor communication from staff.Spoiled the meal.”
