“We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. Highly recommended and we hope to be back one day. Muchas gracias!”

“The house and the gardens are amazing! The large patios enabled us to enjoy being outside in spite of some rainy weather. We saw lots of beautiful birds.The neighbors were so friendly. We didn't have a car but one of them drove a taxi so it was easy to get to town, and another, Yadi, delivered delicious home cooked meals. It was a delightful experience!”

We visited the nearby la paz gardens, which was amazing. And we went up to see the poas volcano, which cleared up nicely for us so we get a good look. “Perfect place for our family to stay before early flights out the next day. Property was gorgeous! Huge, and would’ve been wonderful for a group gathering or party. Short walk to great restaurants. Private garage. Very secure and homie. Had a little trouble with the lockbox since we arrived later than expected and I was unable to communicate from road, but Harold was on the phone the second I had my own user difficulties with multiple solutions in action before I just figured out what I was...
