“Really good quality hotel at an affordable price for us. Right opposite Huntingdon race course so open aspect. Executive room facing the race course was nice. Breakfast was lovely buffet choice and the evening food was plentiful. Very clean everywhere. Our young waitress (Erin?) was very attentive and I like my coffee strong so we had good banter to get it to a correct strength for me. Can't fault the staff or the hotel ”

“I had a lovely night at The Golden Lion. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the bar was nice. I also liked my small but cozy room which came with tea, coffee and some biscuits. The ONLY issue I had, which was not really the hotel's fault, is that my room was swelteringly hot as I stayed during one of the hottest times of the year. I was provided with a fan, but unfortunately this did not help. Overall though, I had a lovely stay at this...

“The location sits beside the river Ouse. Beautiful location. Restaurants, shops, mall, all nearby. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping was immaculate and checked in with me daily to see if I needed anything. The restaurant was fabulous, outside seating and reasonably priced. I made this home for two weeks while I visited from Seattle. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed and I will definitely return here when I come back again. Highly recommended!”

“Our third stay, a different room again. Lovely rooms with eclectic decor. The bed was huge & comfortable. Bathroom had large shower and all amenities needed. The added bonus is the roll top bath in the room, my partner lived being able to watch TV while soaking! All the staff at Albero are helpful & friendly which is part of the reason we keep coming back!”

“The housekeeping was a joke. For a 5 nights stay they never cleaned the bathroom (just changed the towels and the toilet paper) and never changed the bed. They took the garbage from the room though, daily . You have to get used to live in your own dirt. Breakfast was average with limited choices. Restaurant offered outstanding food of superb quality and taste, but the menu was limited. The gym is way above average and top notch for the level of the hotel. We didn’t realise until the morning that shower gel/shampoo were missing and the bath plug did not have a rubber seal. We had Sunday lunch and breakfast in the restaurant. All food hot and tasty. ”

"La stanza era grande e di comodo accesso al piano terra. Biancheria e asciugamani pulite, comode e grandi. Purtroppo la struttura ha arredamneto molto datato e con la moquette, ma è comunque pulito in generale. La colazione modesta, purtroppo servita in un piccolo spazio in reception. Il prezzo modesto ti fa dimenticare di tutte le pecche per chi viaggia e si ferma una sola notte di passaggio."
