“4 night stay April 2026 (Sunday to Thursday) - accommodation very clean, comfortable and modern, hosts very welcoming - location peaceful (a few sheep and horses over the fence at the bottom of the garden, but no noise) and nice dark skies (I saw a few Lyrid meteors during my stay!). Great kitchen facilities (so you can easily self-cater if you want) and excellent shower, better accommodation than a hotel if visiting the area IMHO. Well located, Hastings, Rye & Great Dixter all a quick drive...

It was so quiet at night meaning a great night sleep A lovely stay and would recommend a trip to Caster sands and Rye center”

“We had a very good time at Mafeking. It is a very nice cosy hidden house with such a beautiful garden. The house is fully equipped, we didn‘t miss anything. Unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights, definitely too short. Next time we will stay longer. Thanks to the owner to share this gemstone”
