While dining in Guys' restaurant the evening (7pm) Friday, May 10th the staff were not as friendly at checkout. The gaming tables minimum bet for roulette was extremely to expense so early in the evening. Other aspects of the hotel were spot on!!

Clearly the Casino could use some updating. That being said, we felt safe, the mattresses were comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

Reserved non smoking room got a Smoking room. Front desk lady seemed uninterested in helping or acknowledging my existence. Casino was great and restaurants were awesome inside the hotel. Room smelt bad and could have been cleaned better.

I like that Horseshoe and Gold Strike are side by side so you can gamble and see entertainment at both. Room was big and nice and bed was comfortable, BUT Horseshoe easily has the absolute WORST pillows of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in… Small and thin, like a bad couch pillow, bring your own.

When this room was booked, it was booked for a nonsmoking room but the WHOLE floor our room was on smelled like smoke, as did our room. I understand that there is smoking in the casino but smoking should not be allowed in the rooms. It smelled AWFUL!!!

The property was not what I remembered yeeeears ago. When it was I guess at its prime it was so clean and kept up. Rooms need an upgrade. Furniture worn down, wallpaper peeling off the walls; holes in walls various places; hotel room sink was so far back I had to stand on my toes to brush my teeth, hotel lobby check in is not inviting. Nice staff they need a nicer place to work. Clean those slot machines!! Also don’t stay on the 2nd floor you hear EVERYTHING FROM THE FIRST FLOOR. lol I’m done! Out of all the casinos I visited Horseshoe is def the best one to stay and play! More lively and inviting.

The room was not cleaned very well. Surfaces had crumbs, drink circles, and grime. It looked like the floor behind the bathroom door was never cleaned. The bed cover had black grease spots near the bottom. The hallways were very noisy all hours of the night. Its a Casino but the noise was very loud in the room.

The casino was nice and was a great time. Updates machines, live music, and restaurants on site. Staff was friendly. The hotel left a bit to be desired though. You can definitely tell it’s not attended to as well as the casino area. Several auto sliding doors entering the bldg were not in working order, dingy carpets in the hall, and a la j of attention to detail in the rooms (dust, misaligned wallpaper ect).didn’t ruin the stay. You can tell the area is just trying to make it, as so many stores, hotels, and even other casinos have already closed.
