The Space:

You will be thrilled to stay at this Rockaway Beach vacation rental during your next adventure to the Oregon Coast. This newer house offers everything you need to feel right at home and even includes ping pong as an added entertainment option. When you aren't in the middle of a ping pong tournament, head out back to the lovely patio with a dining area and a large fire pit to enjoy the outdoors in the evening! A full kitchen with a breakfast bar is equipped with all the tools needed to make a vacation-worthy meal, so let the chef of the group hop in when everyone has built an appetite. End each night with a movie or break out some board games and reminisce with family until it is time to doze off to the sound of crickets.



What's nearby:

You can access the beach just a half-mile from the house by walking down to the west end of Riley Street. Downtown Rockaway Beach is just two and a half miles to the south where you will find an array of dining options, antique stores, fun gift shops, necessities and more! Catch the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad for a quick trip down to the fishing village of Garibaldi where you can pick up some fresh seafood from the marina.

House was great for family of 9, location to beach was wonderful, close to Rock Away. Our only complaint was with the cleanliness of things: it took my husband an hour to totally scrub the barbecue so we could make dinner, frying pans literally had solidified grease in them, cobwebs on lights, we did not bring a dog with us but kept getting hair on us, only plastic wine glasses and 2 of those had major cracks in them so we threw those away.

Good location

Great location and the house was cozy. There were plenty of beds and there were good cooking and communal space. Towels were a bit stinky and neighbors were a lot closer than pictures suggested. Property manager was very helpful for questions and great access to the beach!

We were pleased to discover that the kitchen was so well equipped - we have done family rentals for 13 years and usually are searching for some essential item for cooking - that was definitely not the case here! There were also plenty of glasses & silverware & large serving bowls so the dishwasher did not have to be run twice a day to keep up with demand. :-) The beach is just a short walk away and the neighborhood was quiet. It was also great to find that the yard is enclosed in a way that allowed our dog the freedom to be outside without supervision.

Charming Retreat

Everything we hoped for. Clean, beyond well stocked, stylish, cozy, well kept, yard is beautiful & tranquil, neighborhood was quiet. Perfect place for a getaway for a family with high standards. Will be back every year!!!!!!

Perfect family get-away

We found this home charming, comfortable and well appointed. Great open layout for family celebration but enough rooms to afford ample privacy. Epic ping pong tournament in garage. Enjoyed the back deck and it's lovely view. Will definitely be back.

Rockaway house

This was a very comfortable house and a very nice to stay. There are enough sleeping spaces for eight people but with adults one per queen bed is the most comfortable. A quick five minute walk from the beach and it’s on a quiet street. Overall, a very nice place to stay. I would probably just ask for more communication and better response from the rental company, Vacasa.

Rockaway Beach

Nice clean home with lots of spaces to hang out. The kids loved the ping pong table. Easy walk to the beach. I have never seen so much driftwood on one beach. We enjoyed sitting in the back room/kitchen watching the hail storms rolling through.

Nice Neighborhood and close walk to the beach

This was a nice property with a master on the main floor and 2 other bedrooms up with a bathroom. The oven and toaster did not work well, so that was a bit of a hassle : ( but other than that its a very nice place.)

Great family house

We’ve stayed several times on the Oregon coast and this house was everything we’ve been looking for! Great layout for a family, well stocked kitchen, lots of extra bedding and towels, very clean. About a ten minute walk to the beach. The backyard was partially fenced and faced a wooded creek in the back so it felt very private and was perfect for our dog. We really enjoyed the location being close to Rockaway Beach and Manzanita and short drive to the boat launch in Wheeler for fishing.

Best Weekend Ever!

We had a fabulous weekend with family and friends! The beach was fairly close, the house well stocked, and very comfortable. Best of all, when I emailed the rental co that the back porch light were out, they had someone there replacing the bulbs before noon the next day. Soooo helpful!

We loved our stay.

The house was clean, the appliances all worked great, the knives were sharp, the neighborhood was quiet and the blinds did a great job of keeping the bedroom dark. We would definitely recommend this place, and would be happy to stay there again. Check-in was easy, and communication with the property managers was great and simple. No complaints. Thank you!!

Great place to hang out

This house facilitated hanging out and it was in a good location. It's only a short walk to the beach and a short drive to restaurants, stores... . Everything about the rental went well and we would stay there again. One of the bathrooms is off the downstairs masters bedroom so it will definitely work best for a family; however, it did work fine for my four colleagues and me. We appreciated the many beds. The neighborhood was very quiet, though that may have been because we were there in a very rainy period in December. The back yard looked over a stream and wetland, which meant it was pretty far to the nearest house in that direction and instead there was a nice view of wetland vegetation and birds...

Peaceful Getaway

First time staying at this property. Loved the area and the surroundings. We loved the trees and close walk to the near by beach. The house was spacious and loved that the garage had activities for kids to enjoy their stay. The only thing I would say is that cleaning could have been more thorough prior to check-in. Some of the bedding looked like it had not been washed, pillow case had a fresh stain. Floors were not swept or carpet vacuumed. We didn’t mind cleaning up but not something we feel like we should be doing while on vacation. Overall, it was a nice home, perfect for families and perfect location for relaxation!

Multigenerational Gem

We stayed here with our son, daughter-in-law, grandson and our little 10 lb dog. It was wonderful having a main floor master and the kids just took over the bedrooms & bathroom upstairs. Very clean and well equipped. We loved the fireplace outside on the patio, very private and was perfect for those s’mores at dusk & an adult beverage after. Check in and out was a breeze with the Vacasa ap and via text. The only downside was the inside gas fireplace does not work and they could use a good large nonstick skillet (but I would just bring mine next time) There is no “powder room” on the main floor so unless you want to go upstairs to use the bathroom, you should be prepared for people going in and out of the master….not a problem for us, just a heads up. All in all a wonderful trip!!

Beautiful house

This beautiful, new modern beach house was great for our family of 4 (plus dog- though it’s not fully “fenced” which we anticipated). I docked a point for cleanliness- lots of dust and some dirty dishes in the cupboards (including a very disgusting waffle iron) though the furniture was in great shape and the bathrooms and kitchen appliances were clean. Also- when we arrived there was a persistent beeping sound that was coming from the fireplace. A quick response from Vacasa and their local manager ultimately led to several problems being resolved. Took us awhile to figure out the tv and fireplace as there were no instructions. Generally the house is just as it appears and is really beautiful. It’s a Quiet neighborhood and the back of the house looks out on a wetland area so it feels very private.

Concerned about cleanliness, otherwise very nice

First the bad: when I stooped down to pick something off the floor and caught a glimpse under one of the easy chairs it was very gross - dusty, pet hair...but I wasn’t too bothered. When we went to leave and I checked under the beds for any lost items and found a sock that didn’t belong to us, that did gross me out. I’m not convinced that the place is cleansed thoroughly between guests. Now the good: the location is a lovely half mile walk to a very sparsely populated, beautiful, sandy beach. The beds were not uncomfortable, the little neighborhood felt very peaceful. If it was more clean, and perhaps a little more stocked (would love a blender, coffee for the coffee maker, anything in the fridge), it would be fantastic! There was salt, pepper, oil, and a few spices in the cupboard which was very nice. Not at all disappointed in our stay, but will probably try somewhere else next time.

Nice rental

Generally a nice rental, we loved that it was dog friendly and it had a great kitchen and patio, but could use some small improvements. Location- nice and safe neighborhood, but it’s about a 10-15 min walk to the beach which is a little further than we would have liked, but they provide a beach cart which was very helpful. Kitchen is nice and large, and generally well equipped but we had the following issues: I believe the freezer ice maker is broken, I reported this to vacasa but they didn’t offer much help since it wasn’t listed in the rental’s amenities. However, there weren’t any ice cube trays so I believe the ice machine recently broke. We had to buy ice trays, which was a little annoying. Kitchen knives are VERY dull, basically unusable. The dishwasher has sand in it so if you wash the wine glasses they get sand caked onto the interior (wine glasses were like this when we arrived, but also appeared this way after running them through the dishwasher, so it’s a recurring issue). Dishwasher also doesn’t have a typical lower rack configuration, which makes washing multiple of plates and/or bowls challenging. Ping pong table was fun, but needs new paddles and balls. We bought new balls and donated them when we left. Whoever stayed before us didn’t completely pick up after their dog. As others noted the outdoor umbrella doesn’t work and some interior blinds need repair.
