Take the private oceanfront stairs to your own little piece of beach paradise to play in the waves, look for shells or soak up the sun. Shopping, dining, and other family-friendly activities are close at hand, so there is plenty to do or NOT to do if relaxation is your focus!



The Space:

For the vacation of a lifetime, spend your Hatteras Island vacation in style at Mermaid’s Song! This oceanfront home in Rodanthe has everything you need for a relaxing and memorable family getaway. Walk directly out your door to soft sand and ocean waves, absolutely no dune to walk over. Perfect for families with kids and elderly not wanting to lug their beach gear to get to the beach. Don't wanna get Sandy but still want to breath in the salty air?? Enjoy the beach without leaving the spacious multilevel deck!



1 King(Master) / 1 King / 1 Queen (Master) / 1 Queen (Master) / 1 Queen / 1 Pyramid Bunk (single on top and double on the bottom) in Loft Area with fooseball table/ 1 Daybed in Privacy Room / 1 Daybed in Privacy Room

6 Bedrooms, 4 Full and 1 Half Bathrooms, Oceanfront, Private Hot Tub, large TVs in each room, selection of board games and kitchen fully stocked with cookware and utensils

Sleeps up to 15 comfortably.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to this entire home as well as direct access to oceanfront. Private driveway with plenty of parking for all vehicles



The Neighborhood:

The Tri-Village area can be easily explored via car or bike! If you'd like to rent bikes, Island Cycles and Rodanthe Rides (electric bikes and scooters) is within a short distance to Mermaid's Song. Peddle over to the sound for a spectacular sunset or tour the 7 mile scenic, coastal bike path that starts at the Rodanthe Community Building and runs the length of the village to the Salvo Day Use Area Soundisde, making the entire length of the village easily accessible. The Rodanthe Harbor is located behind the community building where you can park & put in your kayak or boat and watch some of the most amazing sunsets over the Pamlico Sound.



The small villages of Avon, Buxton and Frisco are all within a short drive. Explore the Bodie & Hatteras Lighthouse, Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, and all the beautiful wildlife and beaches up and down HWY 12 South!



Other Things to Note:

Pets welcome--up to 2 dogs, no cats please. Dogs must be crated when guests are away. Hatteras Island is known for being incredibly dog friendly, any restaurant with outdoor seating is dog friendly!

Hot tub mid week check each Wednesday if guest is on site. Technician will not enter the home without guests approval.
