“Despite its being a motel in an unsafe area on Hwy 101, across from a marijuana shop such that you get out of the car and smell it- the grounds, room, bed, and customer service were excellent. The front staff was always eager to help. The pool area has a tropical oasis vibe and hotel staff were often keeping it clean and tidy. You could tell the management was excellent. “We really enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. We stayed for two nights on our trip down the Oregon coast and through the Redwoods. It was a great base camp for our adventure around the Redwood Forest. Our kids really liked the Oasis, with the pools and billiard table. The breakfast options were the best we had on our week long trip. Very nice facility.”

“We did not plan ahead and needed a place to stay on the 4th of July. This gem of a propert had a room open at a decent price! The front desk staff had no customer service skills or information on the breakfast offered or pool. We were able to see the fireworks from our room which was a great suprise. The breakfast was horrible very few options and messy.”

“Clean, renovated room. Good breakfast. Very nice overnight stay. Front desk staff was very friendly and professional. Only issue was the old electrical outlets in the room that were loose and would not grip/hold the plug when you plug something in (like phone charger.) Phone charger would simply just fall back out of the outlet after you plug it in. These outlets should be addressed as soon as practicable. Other than that, very enjoyable stay. ”

“While this was a bit off the beaten path from our trip down 101, its absolutely worth the small diversion. This hotel is charming, accomodating, historic and pretty comfortable. The continental breakfast was also great. The town is absolutely charming and we wish we arrived for dinner and if it was just my wife and I, go to a few of the bars on the street. Also worth walking around to view the victorian homes and cemetery!”

“We loved our time at the Gingerbread mansion. Oliva was an amazing host. Breakfast prepared each day was some of the best we have had. Snacks provided at tea time each day were also a big perk. “Perfect stay in walking distance to the cozy centre of Ferndale. Our host Uffe was so nice and he is Dane like us, so we we had some good talk. The apartment was very cozy and decorated in Danish old traditional style. When we woke up in the morning there was Elks in the garten which was more a pleasure for us than for Uffe and his Wife. We will give this cute and quit place our hugest recommendations.”
