Location, host/owner Andrea, communication, cleanliness, lift (sweet) and space (huge) of the apartment were perfect! Andrea has a gem of an apartment that has been in his family for decades. To look out a window and see the back of the Pantheon is incredible. He is a font of knowledge and so very kind and helpful. He goes that extra step that many do not. My father left his glasses behind and Andrea was so kind to alert the cleaners who found them and he returned them to us ASAP!
Taxi queue a very, very short walk away, if needed. Metro is not close though if that is an issue fo someone with mobility issues.
If I had to “pick on” the property, which I hate to do but to help others I will do so, the inconveniences would be that the two bathrooms are side by side in a hallway right off of the one bedroom. Was not an issue for us, however, but I can see how that could possibly be a problem if not with family. Hooks in the bathrooms would be great. Also, in the bathroom with the walk-in shower a shelf to hold soap and shampoo would be good versus placing on floor. In the other bathroom with the high tub a safety bar would be great to help with getting in and out if you’re short (like I am) or have mobility issues.
On the weekends it can get noisy late at night and throughout the night. We used a sound machine app on our iPad to drown out the noise so it did not cause problems. During the week it’s relatively quiet considering where you are and the time of year. We were there mid-November and it was rainy.
Having been to Rome a few times, we love the Pantheon location; we would always find our way here every night so this time we stayed right there. This apartment is absolutely wonderful. Would stay here again next time we go to Rome whether four of us or just the two of us.
Andrea, thanks again!
