Perfectly Charming and Fantastic Location

L'appartamento Travesterina era meraviglioso: dagli asciugamani freschi avvolti in nastri alle mappe e ai tour suggeriti di Roma da visitare, tutto preparato, nonché una torta di frutta fresca fatta in casa e vino in omaggio, Lucia ci ha fatto sentire completamente a casa e ha comunicato molto bene e in inglese e Italiano ovviamente. L'appartamento è arredato magnificamente e con gusto conservando qualcosa del fascino del XVI secolo ma allo stesso tempo rinnovato e contemporaneo in una delle strade più tranquille e affascinanti di Trastevere, con piante verdi e un paio di dolci gatti con ristoranti e caffè nelle immediate vicinanze. Non potremmo raccomandarlo di più e non vediamo l'ora di tornarci!

There were so many thoughtful details that made the stay so lovely! The AC was wonderful and the location was quiet but close to the action. We would be thrilled to stay there again if we visit the area again.

Location is perfect. Apartment very dark and both windows were broken!! Bed sheets are brown. There was hairs in the sheets!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and thoughtfully equipped/furnished apartment. The location was great - on a quiet street within easy walking to restaurants, shopping, public transportation, and attractions big and small. Although we didn't need much assistance, the owner was fantastic about checking in with us to make sure we were having a great stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic location and lovely apartment that made us feel like we awere really enjoying a Roman experience. Very helpful at providing detailed directions from airport on public transport. Provided lovely welcome food/Coffee/juice/milk/wine. Very quiet apartment but you step outside and are right in the midst of the bustling Trastevere area with numerous bars/restaurants within walking distance. Very centrally located for touring Vatican/Colleseum also. Hope we can return there some day.

Lucia and Carlo were so professional and responsive! The apt was just as described and its location in Trastevere was so convenient. We walked everywhere in Rome, never had to use transportation except from the airport and to the train. It was close to incredible restaurants and shopping, yet was quiet for a wonderful night’s sleep! I would highly recommend!

Lucia was the perfect host - place was stocked with everything we needed (even a sewing kit!!), lots of useful info and maps were provided and she was so proactive in reaching out to help us with transportation needs. The bottle of wine was much appreciated after our long trip!!!!

apartment is tucked away on a back street, but I actually enjoyed that. It is within walking distance to everything so not a problem! The apartment itself is a bit dark but I loved all the character of the wood beams and tile work. We really only slept in the apartment, so being dark was actually a good thing. Sofa bed was comfortable for my kids and already set up when we got there which was convenient. A/C was great - especially since we are from the USA and are used to A/C everywhere. I actually got cold in there during a heat wave. Balcony is tight and in a courtyard, so no view of Trastevere, but still nice to have. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Our stay at La Trasteverina was fantastic. A beautiful apartment and great location. We plan on returning to Rome for a longer stay. La Trasteverina will definitely be our go to accommodation. Lucia was very helpful in arranging our transportation to and from the airport.

Highly recommend staying here! It was a fabulous location. The space is perfectly tailored for travelers with extra converters, first days breakfast, umbrellas etc! They went above and beyond in setting up a pack n play for our 8 month old plus high chair and changing pad!

The property is well located if you like to walk; the closest public bus is about a 10-minute walk away. From the very beginning, this host fails the trust test They welcome you with an email and offer to give you advice and tell you that they can transport you via a chauffeur from the airport to the apartment at a cost of 85 euros (add 10% to pay by card). The overcharge for card payment should alert you to this host: unfortunately, that is not the worst. They only mention public transportation as an alternative and fail to communicate that, by law, any Taxi from the airport FCO to the apartment charges a fixed rate of 55 EUR. Should make you consider who you are dealing with right away! Why stay with someone overcharging so much to start your Rome vacation? The apartment was not clean; it was infested with ants that, unfortunately, we did not notice until the next morning, when my kids woke up with several bites and inflammation. When we notified the host, their first response was that we couldn't prove the ants and bites were from their apartment. So if you want to spend your Rome vacation taking pictures of this apartment instead of Rome, stay there; we did. With the evidence, VRBO did give us a partial refund. The hosts clung to all the money without taking responsibility. By the way, there was also no running water in the apartment the last day of our stay. Rome is great; why risk your vacation experience in this place?

Beautiful location in the heart of the most beautiful part of Rome to stay. Large apartment with perks of breakfast and free bottle of wine too. We used bus systems and scooters to tour around Rome easily. The dining around the apartment is amazing

We had a very nice experience at this place. The host was very helpful and communicative in addition to very quick responses. The apartment was well prepared with some food and beverages, as well as plenty of kitchen equipment to cook. The location was great as well with many restaurants close by.
