The name "La Quitapenas" means in Spanish:
"She who takes away worries." According to a Mayan legend, you can entrust your worries to a little doll called a "Muñeca quitapenas" before going to sleep. If you place the doll under your pillow, it will worry in your place during the night, allowing you to sleep peacefully.
There are several mountain bike and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, such as the "Getuigenheuvels" hiking network in the Flemish Ardennes, the Flemish Ardennes cycling network, and the GR-route LF6, GR122-Scheldeland, GR-Flemish Ardennes, and GR5A-Tour of Flanders (GR = Grote Routepaden).
