“Check in with very nice people at front desk was easy. Free secure parking and rooms while maybe a little small were clean and very nice. Corktown has really changed for the better since our last visit 10 years ago. Walked back from downtown at 11:30 and felt very safe with so many new businesses and people milling about. Great job Trumbull and Porter, we will be back.”

“I had a reservation for 2 queen beds and only had 1 bed. They couldn’t change it, or even let me get another room. Said the only reservations were online even though I was in the lobby with my family …and we had to have our teenager sleep with us. Also communication was poor about the valet. Nice facility but unorganized and not helpful for the price. We didn’t let it ruin our trip, but it was disappointing.”

“The hotel feels a little tired and understaffed. Three of the rooms we booked weren't available until gone 6pm. Breakfast was disappointing. One staff member most mornings for a busy room, with breakfast taking up to an hour. One morning, our breakfast just didn't appear. Location is good.”

Beverages only available in reception area and consist of tea bags and instant coffee, with water from a thermos flask! Decor is tired, carpets stained, windows can’t be opened, air con not working ( control not fixed properly to the wall), light switch in upper hall of the coach house not working, resulting in light needing to be left on all night. “Absolutely lovely B&B between downtown Detroit and Grosse Pointe. About a block from the river, located just up from a busy street (but no road noise). The house, which used to be owned by a wealthy family -- hense the name -- has been lovingly restored by its current owners.
