Luxury countryside cottage with mountain views

Beautiful, light and airy modern self-contained, fully furnished renovation with private parking, and private terrace.

Peaceful & quiet countryside setting with stunning views of the Pyrenees and Montsegur castle. 2 minutes walk to the splendid village of Roquefixade with it’s famous Cathar chateau, and many fabulous walks accessible directly from the property.

The space

Fully furnished self-contained building with kitchen / dining / living room, bedroom, bathroom and utility room.

Guest access

Private terrace and lawn area with seating on patio and lawn.

The cottage is on the grounds of the hosts’ house and the driveway is shared, however guests enjoy complete privacy at the property.

Idyllic
If your idea of a perfect gite is to sit on a verandah with an amazing view of the mountains and a glass of wine, and to let the evening close in around you, then this is the place for you. The Restoration Place had an excellent kitchen and dining area, a super-comfy bed and - oh what bliss - a rain shower. It was also spotlessly clean. I honestly would recommend this place to anyone who was looking for an unforgettable holiday.

A dream
Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette agréable maison, pleine de charme, tout confort et superbement située! Endroit reposant et ressourçant, avec les Pyrénées en face de vous du lever du soleil jusqu’au coucher. Le rêve! De là, nous avons pu visiter tous les beaux sites de l’Ariège et faire quelques balades des alentours. Le propriétaire est aimable, discret et très réactif à toute demande. Nous recommandons chaudement cette location. Nous-mêmes n’hésiterons pas à y revenir si cela se présente. We had a great stay in this pleasant house full of charm, comfortable and superbly located! Quiet place with the Pyrenees mountains in front of you from the morning till dusk! The dream! From there, we were able to visit all the beautiful scenic spots of Ariège and take many walks in the nearby surroundings. The owner is friendly, discreet and very responsive to any request. We highly recommend this rental. We ourselves won't hesitate to come back in the futur.

Perfect Pyrenees Lodgings with Great Host!
Exquisite cottage with great patio for enjoying stunning views of Montsegur and the Pyrenees. Located in a pastoral setting, the cottage is thoughtfully designed, well finished, and comfortably furnished. It was equipped with everything we needed. Restaurants, bakeries, and provisions, including specialty bio markets and farm markets, are available in nearby Foix and Lavelanet. A short walk up the hill you'll find Roquefixade village, which offers an exceptional network of hiking trails to the Roquefixade Chateau ruins, ancient Dolmens, and overlooks with 360 degree views of the region. A short drive away, you'll find Foix, Montsegur, the Niaux cave, the Cascade de Roquefort, and many more attractions. There is an incredible concentration of breathtaking scenery and history here. The cottage was ideal for us, and the host was gracious and welcoming. Thank you, Tom for your hospitality!

Great stay!
Very nice property: clean, new, very well decorated. Everything was as described. The terrasse with the amazing view is the best place to relax after a day of hiking. Great hikes to do at your doorstep. Tom is a very nice host, responsive yet discreet. Dog lovers will happy to pet the gentle Manu :)

Gerieflijk huis met prachtig uitzicht
We hadden een heel plezierig verblijf in Roquefixade. Prachtig uitzicht waar we oudere dag van genoten. Direct vanuit het huis zijn mooie wandelingen te maken Ik raad dit huisje absoluut aan!
