Cutest cottage just 400 feet from clear blue Higgins Lake. Run down and jump in for a swim, float on your inner tube or moor your boat for the day..enjoy a bonfire on cool evenings in the sprawling back yard..or sit in the three seasons screen in porch and relax
For a change of pace break out the board games, play Crochet , Corn hole or Horseshoes. No loud music after 11 pm

Barbecue your fav meals on the Huge gas grill, two tanks provided and grilling tools.
Fireside chairs to enjoy your bonfires( don’t forget to bring the marshmallows) metals sticks provided
All kitchen essentials for meals, blenders, mixers,…

~THE LOCATION ~
Bring along your boat to this Lakeside Paradise less than 2 miles away from south state park which has 700 feet of shoreline, hiking trails at Marl lake.. and just 8 miles north is the north end of the lake which also has both beautiful trails and hiking and off-road trails, plenty of public ramps to put boat in lake.
Colder months bring Snow that’s excellent for snowshoeing, sledding snowmobiling ( trails are close) and skiing. Driveway will accommodate a large trailer for your 4 wheelers , off road vehicles or your boat .
This vacation rental is truly the perfect home base for no matter the season.
Treat yourself to a meal at the Cut River Grill,, Spikehorns, Matt’s Lake Street Grill, Fred’s for pizza and bowling too. Country corner restaurant and 200 street market is just 1 block away . So many Trails…to ride on ..Property under exterior surveillance.

Solitude

It was a wonderful place to stay and just enjoy the solitude. It rained most of the time, but was content. I enjoyed the sun room with all its screened windows. Place was tidy, bed in the room closest to kitchen was confycomfy

Perfect Cottage Stay at Higgins Lake

The Bluebird Cottage was perfect for our stay at Higgins Lake. Having visited Higgins Lake my entire life, I can confidently say it remains as lovely as ever. This cottage exceeded our expectations and matched the description perfectly. The short walk to the shared dock provided easy access to the lake, which was a major plus. The rooms were comfortable, and the beds ensured a restful sleep. I was particularly impressed with the bathroom, especially the shower. It was designed perfectly for the small space and felt surprisingly spacious! We also appreciated the proximity to 200 Market Cafe and Country Corners, both of which were convenient for quick groceries and delicious pizza. A special shoutout to Joyce, the homeowner, who was incredibly responsive and kind. When I missed the email about the key location and frantically called late at night, and again when I accidentally locked myself out, Joyce was quick to help both times. Her kindness and efficiency were greatly appreciated. We’re planning to make an annual trip to Higgins Lake for a family reunion, and I would love to stay at the Bluebird Cottage every time!

Alex’s Birthday vacation

We were celebrating our daughter’s 31st birthday and surprise! Her boyfriend proposed to her by your bonfire! So now the Birthday week-end celebration turned into an engagement celebration ! I guess love was in the air! It was a wonderful week-end all in all . We had a lot of rain but, we came prepared with lots of indoor games . Thank-you for such a nice place to stay that was affordable . ❤️

Excellent, much needed getaway

The cottage is very well maintained and we had everything available (kitchenware, towels, etc) to make our stay enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch and the firepit. Joyce was a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. ⭐⭐⭐

Blue bird house

When we arrived the owner had left us a bottle of wine. We were close to everything. Boating on Higgins lake was very beautiful. Great location with plenty of room for the 6 of us.

Summer Weekend Stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage. The location is great and we rented stand-up paddle boards and kayaks at The Store at South Higgins Lake state park which is only a couple miles away. The screened porch was spacious and a lovely space for morning coffee and family dinners. The home had all the essentials including bath and beach towels. We took our tubes for a float and had fresh donuts at a cute café just a short walk down the road. The fire pit hosted s'mores making and faced a wooded area. Higgins Lake is beautiful and perfect for a pontoon or speedboat (we rented a speedboat during our stay).
