I assume the hotel had just been taking over and was getting some sort of overhaul. Stayed in the building across from reception, wasn't very pleasant. Room wasn't the cleanest, had no bathroom door! Shower didn't work neither did the TV.

Perfect for our quick overnight stopover. The room was spotlessly clean, and the exceptionally comfortable bed gave us a great night's sleep.

The property was on the banks of a river with lots of green space and walks for the dog. There was plenty of parking and nothing seemed to be cramped.

We booked executive rooms which where quite disappointing, water was 1 bottle poured from a tap and not even refrigerated, there was limited choice of tea bags and not even a biscuit to go with it, food in resturant for dinner was under cooked and had to be sent back, second one wasnt much better, then had bad stomach next day, internet in 1 of the rooms kept cutting out as did TV, for price paid (not cheap) expected much better quality. Beds are comfortable, pillows are great, spa was lovely and staff where exceptional expecially two women on reception. Although we would not return as have stayed in better hotels for less money it is a comfortable hotel and the staff make it.
