LA PROPRIETÀ

Location, location, location è uno dei numerosi attributi che distingue questa cabina del 1930 completamente rinnovata a parte le altre offerte. Arroccato sopra il fiume con uno sfondo di montagne fortemente alberate, è il migliore di tutti i mondi. Il ponte lungo 50 piedi ha due aree salotto, una griglia a gas e una vasca idromassaggio privata per ore di divertimento con vista sugli alberi. L'ampio portico schermato offre uno spazio di raccolta altrettanto piacevole con ventilatori a soffitto e comodi posti a sedere. Questa invidiabile cornice si trova a pochi passi dai negozi e dai ristoranti Midtown di Ruidoso e da una passeggiata altrettanto breve fino al campo da golf di Cree Meadows. Tutte le grandi attrazioni di Ruidoso si trovano a breve distanza in auto dalla cabina, così come i negozi di alimentari e un'ampia selezione di ristoranti di prima scelta.
Il punto focale interno di questa cabina è la magnifica sala grande, con l'originale camino ventilato in pietra del 1930, pareti di assi di pino splendidamente invecchiate e soffitto con travi a vista con un ventilatore a soffitto straordinariamente grande. L'arredamento accogliente, la scacchiera / tavolo da scacchi e l'abbondanza di libri, puzzle e giochi rendono il posto perfetto per passare il tempo con amici e familiari. La grande sala da pranzo della sala offre posti a sedere per sei e il tavolo da gioco offre posti a sedere per altri quattro.
La cucina gourmet completamente attrezzata completa il design originale della cabina con ripiani in cedro e soffitti con travi di cedro. Un tavolo da cavalletto fatto a mano e un bar offrono la colazione in questo spazio ben progettato. Stoviglie di plastica sono comodamente riposte in un cassetto inferiore per i bambini e un seggiolone è fornito per i più piccoli. Sia un'unità Keurig che una caffettiera da 8 tazze con filtri sono forniti per iniziare ogni giornata nel modo giusto.
La lavanderia ha una lavatrice e asciugatrice LG di dimensioni standard con prodotti per la lavanderia, cestini per la biancheria e un asse da stiro incorporato. Stendini e spazio per appendere i vestiti, oltre a teli di servizio per lavori disordinati e animali domestici offrono tutti i comfort di casa. Lo spazio comprende anche una panca e ganci appendiabiti per facilitare il lavoro di scarponi e cappotti all'ingresso con un armadio per riporre gli sci.
Il piano principale è dotato di riscaldamento centralizzato e aria condizionata e comprende due camere da letto e due bagni. La master suite ha una smart TV e un ampio bagno con combinazione vasca / doccia. C'è una porta esterna dalla master suite che conduce alla vasca idromassaggio. La seconda camera da letto al piano inferiore è una camera a castello con due letti a castello e un letto a rotelle doppio nonché una smart TV. Il corridoio fuori dal castello ha una porta che conduce al portico schermato e un bagno della hall che è comodo per la grande sala.
Al piano superiore due camere da letto con un bagno in mezzo. Una camera ha un letto matrimoniale e la seconda camera ha due letti singoli. Ogni camera da letto al piano superiore utilizza un'unità di riscaldamento / aria condizionata mini-split per un comfort personalizzato tutto l'anno. Grandi finestre nelle camere offrono un flusso ottimale per l'aria fresca di montagna e un sonno profondo e confortevole. Il soppalco al piano superiore offre un angolo di lettura perfetto sfoggiando una sedia imbottita con vista sul camino sottostante.
Nel complesso, la cabina è stata accuratamente progettata per il massimo ambiente e il comfort degli ospiti. Non sono state prese scorciatoie nella costruzione originale né nella ricostruzione. Tutti i pavimenti della cabina sono in piastrelle o legno e tutti i pavimenti piastrellati sono riscaldati. Ogni parete della cabina è in pino e ogni soffitto è in pino o cedro, alcuni con grandi travi in legno. Non esiste un solo pavimento in moquette e non ci sono pareti o soffitti in mattoni. This property was PERFECT for my families’ Christmas getaway. Location of the house in Ruidoso is ideal - very close to restaurants and shops and a short drive to the local winter park and Lincoln National Forest. The host was incredible - very quick to respond to questions prior to our stay and attentive to any issues/questions we had during the stay (even on Christmas!) I would HIGHLY recommend this property!

This was our second time staying at the Cabin in the Sky — we came back because we loved it!! It’s an easy walk to town, and an easy drive to so many cool places. The home is spacious and has a hot tub. We played (waterproof!) cards in the hot tub most mornings! The home owner is very personable and responds rapidly to messages. We feel lucky to have escaped the August Texas heat, at this fantastic cabin. Our kids are 5&8 and they loved the bunk room. We will be back!!

We decided to go to Ruidoso again for a long weekend getaway, and this time we chose the perfect cabin! The owners did a gorgeous remodel on this 1930's structure, preserving the vintage appeal while incorporating enough high end touches to give this place charm and comfort that doesn't quit. It was such a pleasure to stay here. The location is convenient to most places you might want to go in the area. And, the owners have thoughtfully stocked the cabin (especially the kitchen) with pretty much everything you could need. And that screened in porch with the spacious wrap-around deck and hot tub--WOW!! We enjoyed every minute of our time there, and will definitely go back again. The perfect fairy-tale ending: While packing our car to leave this morning, six deer showed up in the front yard to see us off, including an adorable little fawn. What's not to love about this place? Highly recommend.

My daughter and I loved the house, and it was in a perfect location to access midtown shops and restaurants. We loved the secluded feeling of the cabin and how close it was to everything. We didn’t even leave the cabin the first day because we liked it so much. We even had deer in the yard to take pictures with. We would definitely stay there again. I had my service dog Shiba with me as well. What would have been nice for the dog would have been if the back yard fenced area had been cut so we could have accessed it when we took Shiba out to use the restroom. It was a tough time trying to convince her to use the restroom on the rocky path area, and she didn’t want to go in the tall weeded area around the path. The lot is a huge lot that includes a large back fenced area with a gate to enter, but the weeds there are about 4 feet tall, so there was no way to walk Shiba back there. There is a park down at the bottom of the road by the midtown shops, so we would just drive down there to take Shiba out and walk her around. We walked the road one time, but I wouldn’t advise walking down it because it’s extremely narrow, and there really is only room on the road for the vehicles. The hosts/owners are super friendly, and they responded very quickly to any questions we had. We will plan to stay there again at some point for sure! 😊

This is the second time we have stayed here. Don’t hesitate to book this cabin. We love that is has a big screened in front porch. When we were there, it rained everyday. It was nice to sit in the screened in area and watch the storm. It is also nice to be able to sit and watch our kids play while we get to enjoy the fans. It is in a great location. The owner is really easy to communicate with and responds quickly. I would gladly stay here a third time.

I had my niece n her friend I hadn’t seen in 5 yrs . We decided to take them n show then somewhere they’d never been . The property was perfect !! The location is a small walk to down town yet feels like your alone in mountains . Property is very nice. Many amenities . The owners were so nice. And even sent me a text on my birthday while I was there. Owners went above n beyond to make our stay the best ! We definitely will be back. Being a police officer it’s hard relax but this property did just that. I recommend this property !! It’s best I’ve stayed in by far .

We have been traveling to Ruidoso the past 17 years for family trips. We have been blessed to stay in some good properties but this home is incredible. It is evident that the owners did not hold back when updating this property. Excellent location close to downtown but still have the Upper Canyon feel. We will rent this property on future trips!!

What an amazing blend of mountain cabin charm with modern comfort and convenience. Comfortably slept 6 adult and three fun loving kids! We cooked all our own meals in the beautiful kitchen. We are accustomed to nice appliances and the kitchen was a welcome surprise. Great location in town, yet without heavy traffic or noise. Met the local flock of turkeys. You might do “different” in the Ruidoso area, but not sure you can do any better than this property and this host! Thanks Cathi for an amazing home base for a great family trip to the mountains - even had two crystal clear moonless early nights for exceptional Milky Way viewing from up on the mountain away from town lights! Thanks for leaving original flooring in upstairs bedrooms!

Great time with family at this cozy, but spacious, open home with nearby snow tubing, Xmas tree cutting, hiking, horseback riding, and village sleigh riding and shopping, Cathi surprised us with Xmas gifts, our permit to cut the tree, and a tree skirt! Wonderful amenities included updated and stocked farmhouse kitchen and heated bathroom floors. The family kept the hot tub busy, the fireplace lit, and enjoyed the screened in porch and large deck. No snow, but somehow we managed to have fun! Lol

We have stayed at Ruidoso many times and we enjoyed this property very much and will return to it again. Very conveniently located to downtown but you certainly cannot tell it. The cabin is layed out very well. The screened in porch and the large deck were certainly a hit with all. I would certainly recommend booking it for your next trip.....just not when we are going again!

Charming historic renovation with the modern amenities that matter most….plenty of bathrooms and all renovated so cleverly to keep with historic feel, modern kitchen with chef-worthy range & oven, and a screen porch made for sipping coffee! Beds were sooooo comfy! We played all day at the racetrack and scoot a boot at the Win Place Show, Ruidoso’s most iconic bar. All the fun of downtown and Cree Meadows golf course is just a short stroll away. We all loved the house and hope to return!

Beautifully restored home! Fantastic kitchen, screened porch and outdoor deck were our favorites and all living spaces super comfortable. Fully stocked with supplies and the owner was lovely. Close to shopping, grocery store, short drive to Ski Apache. Definitely recommend!

Anytime with family is priceless but time with family in the mountains is even more special! This house is wonderful and the screened in porch and deck are amazing! Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous mountain scenery and breathing the cool mountain air! I would recommend this home for anyone!
