“We were visiting family in Bristol for the holidays and used Founders Brook as our home base for five nights. The property is close to Portsmouth’s downtown area and a hop over the bridge to Bristol. We had some of the best sleep we’ve had in years and felt very at home. This is the fourth time we have stayed here and each time we notice improvements. Love the complimentary toiletries!!”

“The hotel is under renovation, there are work on the hall but they are not creating problems. The room are already renovated and they are very good. Also breakfast is good”

“During an off season stay, there were very few visitors and they were in the process of doing some renovations. In spite of that, everything was in working order and there were no noises or construction disturbance. The restaurant and bar at the Whaler was very popular and the food was excellent. The stir fry in particular, and then the wings special on Sunday night, just excellent!”
