Benvenuti nel nostro rifugio per gli ospiti con 2 camere da letto e 2 bagni situato direttamente adiacente al Lago Sabattus con accesso diretto all'acqua. Panorami mozzafiato, splendidi tramonti, attività acquatiche e creazione di ricordi speciali per la famiglia ti aspettano. La casa è stata completamente rinnovata e si trova in posizione centrale rispetto alle attrazioni del Maine come LL Bean, i ristoranti sul lungofiume di Hallowell e il Porto Vecchio a Portland, nel Maine. Che si tratti di leggere un libro nella quiete dei boschi del Maine, andare in kayak sul lago, fare escursioni a piedi con gli amici o cucinare del cibo fantastico nell'aria frizzante del lago, sperimenterai la bellezza del Maine quando noleggi questo rifugio per gli ospiti.

Gem of a place to stay visiting our Bates student! House was roomy, very clean, and beds were comfy. Great communication with the hosts. Hope to stay again in warmer weather so we can take advantage of the outdoor spots- balcony on each floor, fire pit area, and lake access.

The Perfect Maine Getaway

:Our stay in Wales, Maine was bliss from start to finish! The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. Both upstairs and downstairs were beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The fresh, clean linens added to the comfort. Communication with our host, Paul, was excellent—friendly, responsive, and helpful. My ten-year-old even enjoyed some fishing during our visit! Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would definitely visit again.

Awesome house, awesome hosts

Great place to relax and be central to several locations. Please be aware that this is not meant for handicapped. Too high of a step into the house and Too steep and slippery to get down to the lake. Also, did not matter to us but not a lot of privacy due to the owners house only feet away, blocking most of the view of the lake. With that being said, the house had a view of the lake from one side of the deck which was awesome to sit at in the evenings. It was perfect for our relaxing get away. Very clean and stocked with supplies. Thankfully we did bring our own lobster pot because that was about the only thing they didnt have. The hosts are awesome, very friendly folks who are there if needed but kept their distance for guest privacy. While there we saw a fox and an eagle. Heard only one loon but no moose in the area. We give it 5 stars , great house and great hosts!!!!

Family Reunion

Our oldest child moved to Maine and this was our first chance to visit. This property was perfect for us because it was so close to him. We certainly didn't want to cram into his studio apartment! He appreciated the home cooked meals he got and we had fun just hanging out as a family.

Graduation Weekend at Sailors Rest

We spent Bates Graduation weekend at Sailors Rest. Paul and Kevin were fabulous hosts and Sailors Rest was the perfect port in the bittersweet graduation storm. I do hope we’ll be back.

Cozy cabin with lake views

Had a wonderful stay at Sailor's Rest. Were able to not only visit my daughter at Bates and watch the President's Cup, but we also visited a lighthouse and Kennebunkport. My goal was to have a lobster roll every day and I only missed 1 day. Weather wasn't the most cooperative but we were able to spend a fun 5 hours at Just-in-Time recreation with bowling and playing pool. A location we will definitely come back to over the next three years!

Great retreat!

This was a great place to spend the weekend. Spent the day out on the ice and came in to a shower that was very hot and had great pressure. The place was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Would love to stay here again at some point.

Awesome Stay and cool Host

I can't explain the ease and how helpful the host was. We were traveling from a long distance for this. The host was helpful with late check in. The house was well maintained and clean everywhere. You get everything you need. The wifi is also fast. I wish they did provide some body wash and some extra stuff. No complaints at all. It was a memorable stay

Peaceful stay

We enjoyed our stay in this peaceful location while visiting our son at Bates. The house was as described with everything you could possibly need; very clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed walking down to the dock with our coffee in the morning and relaxing around the fire pit with our wine in the evening. Communications with the host were great!

A quiet respite

We stayed a month in this lovely, quiet home where our hosts were very available by text but never interfered with our privacy. Our dog loved his 2-3 daily swims in the lake.The only real negative for us was we felt we couldn’t (& never did) swim ourselves or other thing to be alert to: the lake has lots of algae in it.

Quiet near the lake

The owners are on site and are very respectful and wonderful people. Quiet area with a very short walk to the lake. Great location with short drives to Freeport, Lewiston, and Brunswick. Would stay again!

Planning to return!

We had an unfortunate reason for our stay (loss of a family member), but we were very pleased with the large indoor space on this beautiful piece of land! The home comfortably slept 7 (5 adults, 2 children) and had everything we needed for our short stay. The serene outdoor area and dock provided a peaceful space by the water to clear our head after an emotional day, and catch some sun rays. One note of caution, if arriving after sunset, the road and driveway to the property are a bit difficult to locate in the dark. Even with that, we plan to return for a longer stay to enjoy the rest of the amenities and area.

Nice spot on beautiful pond!

We really enjoyed our stay and our hosts were great! Very communicative and helpful! The place is definitely roomy and pictures don’t do it justice. We saw a majestic bald eagle and it was incredible! Our only warning would be for dog owners. A neighborhood dog bit our golden doodle (she’s fine though). It was unleashed and no owner in sight! This large dog came onto the property. Paul was INCREDIBLY helpful in resolving the situation and getting us the info we needed. I hate even writing this since it was not their fault, I just would have been more closely on the lookout had I known.

Great weekend by the 'pond'

We very much enjoyed Sailor's Rest. It was perfect for our three generation family. Paul and Kevin were great hosts, very accommodating and checked in with me by text throughout the stay to make sure all our needs were met. I would recommend Sailor's Rest to anyone looking for a nice getaway by a lake! Thank you Paul and Kevin!

Sailors Rest weekend stay

House had plenty of room for four of us. Extra large bedroom space on second floor along with first floor bedroom. Very clean. Very quiet with dirt road off main road down to the house by the pond. Close enough to Portland, Freeport, and Lewiston to provide options for things tp do. Weather was on the rainy side during our weekend stay but still had an enjoyable relaxing weekend. Hosts Paul and Kevin made arrival and departue easy. Great communication.

Beautiful Place to Stay

We came here with a large contingent, and even though the house has only two bedrooms, don't let that fool you. It is quite roomy, and we easily slept seven people in the house. The views from the upstairs bedroom windows and balcony are wonderful. The owners are in their own house on site, are there when you need them, but give you your privacy as well. Lovely place to stay. I would recommend it to others enthusiastically.
