Horrible. They canceled our reservation for two room at arrival. This was for my daughters college graduation. There was no notice. I called when we arrived because no one was on site. That’s when I found out they wouldn’t be honoring my reservations. With no back up plan in a small college town on graduation weekend. Expedia also was of No help. My reservation never officially was canceled, by the property or Expedia when I called for help on a resolution. Now I have to work on reimbursement for the reservation of 2 rooms and paid last minute rates on a busy weekend. I booked months in advance only to have to find last minute accommodations on my own.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

Worst experience ever! DO NOT STAY HERE! Made a reservation while in Davis staying with family. Drove over an hour later to view the place. When I arrived, the basement where they rent out two tiny rooms smelled like excrement. Decided to let the smell air out and came back a couple of hours later. The shared bathroom was dirty and had a HUGE black widow spider on a web in the shower stall doorway. Called the owner and she sent someone downstairs. First off, he denied it was a black widow. Then he said it was ok because black widows aren't poisonous (they are). Then he said because of the garden outside, he could kill it but more would come back. At that point, I asked for a refund. He said the refund was up to the owner but would not go get her. This "b&b" is really just a dirty and spider-infested basement run by unreasonable people. Because it is listed as non-refundable, they are not issuing a refund even though I didn't disturb the room and I did not deprive them of any bookings as both rooms were not rented out for the extremely short time I was there. Gave them the chance to make this right and they will not. Hope everyone reads this review and STAYS AWAY!

It was super hot and the A/C was off when we arrived, they turned on but never got to a comfortable temperate. And they turned it off at night. I mentioned and they gave me a fan.

The curb appeal was bad with trash and leaves on the yard and a kids ridinf toy chained to the house denoting an unsavory neighborhood. Narrow uneven unlit walk down side of yard to the back yard. Sliding glass door with what looked like a flannel bed sheet for a drape, tiny bath, cable tv wires sticking out everywhere, Zero sound protection from main house on the other side of a hollow core door making even the slight sound audible Bed filled nearly the entire room Cost turned out to be more that a standard hotel in Davis with comparatively luxurious accommodations. We refused to stay AND ASK THAT WE GET OUT MONEY BACK AS THIS EXPERIENCE DOES NOT MEET THE USUAL EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR WEBSITE EXPERIENCE, SERIOUSLY OVER SOLD BY THE LANDLORD OFFERING THE RENTAL. LESS THAN 1 STAR

Underwhelming, should be half the price.

I don't recommend this place. The owner was nice enough but this should be a fairly low budget "airbnb" rental - it's a room in someone's house and it's older (not in a charming way) and not particularly kept up. It was clean but for the price, I was completely underwhelmed. Unfortunately, I arrived late. Otherwise, i would have considered finding a hotel room elsewhere. You enter around the back of the house, through the gate, past the air conditioner. The first thing, the bathroom is shared and whoever else was staying there had left their stuff on the counter. Kind of 90's decor, the bed was hard as a rock. And the continental breakfast consisted of some fruit, limp toast and hard boiled eggs delivered by our host. Please don't take this personally, I'm sure they are very nice people. But I was frankly shocked that this facility was listed on Expedia. If this were Airbnb and the price had been about half, ok.

Good breakfast

It was hard to find because there was no sign, but the accommodation was comfortable and quiet. The best thing was breakfast. I was able to start the day with a lot of food such as toast, eggs and coffee. It was really good food.
